Any sort of win will do against alty . Excuse my ignorance but what's the crack with reeves , with a scoring record like his I would have thought he'd be playing in the league or at least a bigger team with more resources ( definitely no offence meant alty fans )

He signed for Doncaster a few years ago but pulled out of it when his partner had a miscarriage, deciding to keep his loyalties. Sad story for a talented striker, and though he's probably at his peak now it's heartening to see a one-club player in the 21st century who's genuinely very good.

Well, good for him , he's obviously happy there and I agree an excellent striker , hope he has an absolute nightmare today though .

Looking forward to the match today but more the atmosphere and not what's happening on the pitch! I think Grimsby will be well up for it and we'll have to perform significantly better than we have done in our previous matches to get a win. I see it being far more likely that Grimsby will come down and play very well, so we have to be on our A game from the start.

Big opportunity for a number of players to make a claim (namely Gash, Luisma and Clifford) so hopefully we can come out fighting and ready to compete. A good performance and result here could reenergise us at the beginning of another 4 match tricky run for us (Altrincham away, FGR home, Eastleigh away).

Hoping Grimsby bring a big crowd and that there's no ridiculous stewarding or crowd trouble (ala Luton last season and Woking this season). Wondering what inflatables are turning up! Have a safe journey down if you're travelling.

Who are AFC Rubbish and Dustbins? I always assumed that refernce was for another similarly sounding Doc Marten (once) funded club that fell from grace?

Don't you need water for that to happen?

Also will be the case on Tuesday for when Eastleigh are due back up North. Any fans of theirs thinking about planning their journey, don't bother. Forecast Sun-Tuesday is rain, rain and more rain.

Is it that bad? May be the same when Dartford travel to us then!

Our pitch is in intensive care as it is currently. Tomorrow the forecast is for heavy rain all day at the same time as a rugby game being played on it. Monday's forecast is dry but it is back to more rain all day Tuesday. It will be an absloute miracle if we play Tuesday and i am not hopeful at all.

Teams still in the Trophy really have had their league season buggered up. And it will also affect the teams that they should have played on the designated dates.I hope its worth it ????

No real club should ever give two hoots about the trophy, it's for the Tin Potters really.

He's also got his own plastering business, which is apparently very successful so teams struggle to match his wages from his business and PT footy.

These cup runs are really pushing our fixture list up and up, we'll end up playing 3 games a week at this rate

Bit of a dilemma for Burr on who to start up front tomorrow as Bradford have recalled McBurnie, he'll probably just go with Hobson although Thomson could finally get his chance I suppose.

Up a minimum of another two places if we win tomorrow, just hate our goal difference, looks so out of place in this position, damn Barnet, it's never recovered from that first game!

I'm hoping we'll finally play Kane Richards up front rather than only using him wide.

We'll definitely miss McBurnie but Eastleigh's defence is pretty shaky so I'm confident we can score goals today. Just need to keep their strikers quiet and we should win.

Hurst should be playing 4-5-1/4-3-3 with the personnel we have but he'll continue with the rigid, lifeless 4-4-2 he's consistently employed. Should be 500+ away supporters but would have been twice that if we'd won last Saturday. Can't see anything but a comfortable Barnet win, 2-0. Now that top spot has gone I'd be chuffed with a point.

Heh fans complained about 4-5-1/4-3-3 so Hurst changed to 4-4-2 and now fans complain!

Anyway I agree with you I think we are better with the 4-5-1/4-3-3 system but too many people see one striker in the starting 11 and call it negative, never mind the fact we did very with it up until the bad day at the office Kidderminster game.

Like JT said on the commentary last week Hurst should have changed it early in the second half when Bristol had lots of possession to taking Jolley or Mackreth off and bringing Mclaughlin on, it would have been more effective with an extra body in midfield than bringing Hannah on as a like for like change with Jolley (as in one striker for another), and as JT said at the time people would probably see that as being negative when in reality we would probably have had more of the ball and maybe created more.

No Palmer or Hannah for us, Pittman and Brown have trained but whether they are ready to start is another matter. I would guess at the same side that played Bristol with Pittman replacing Hannah on the bench, and I imagine Brown will be on the bench too probably replacing Bignot

and people say Hurst rotates all the time.

Team is exactly as I said except Hannah is fit and so stays on the bench, while Pittman replaces Mclaughlin instead of Hannah.

I don't think we would have taken 1000 there regardless of last weeks results.
My cousins just texted me said it is packed with inflatables and the Barnet stewards said they are ok taking them in as long as they don't go on the pitch.
I guess if we score then a few will be in the goalmouth!
