It's not officially postponed yet but it might as well be as every one of Stanleys home games at this time of the year usually are because of the shockingly bad standard of pitch they have and a poor knowledge of how to look after it. Frustrating yes, for top professional league clubs like ourselves who want to play football in the 21st century, I suppose we just have to understand that for a club who only get something like 900 home fans at their games is no surprise at all, a true tinpot club.

If the match does somehow go ahead then I don't think I've ever felt more confident of us winning a match especially with the form we're in!!! You know I really wouldn't put it past us being 4-0 up and flying by half time because of how poor a team Stanley will be. I've heard of one of their players some midfielder called Windass, who has scored a few goals which I bet were against the run of play but if he is any good then surely he'd be a bargain buy for us next month for something like £5k which is a lot for them and would be too much for them to refuse. Now I haven't looked at where they are in the league table but they are probably bottom or near the bottom which is what you'd expect of little minnows like Accrington.

So no need for you to worry HelloGregory as a PISS EASY away win is guaranteed on boxing day!!!!!!! No doubt about it, we might as well let the lads go out on the drink on Christmas eve because even against a team of hungovers, Stanley still won't cope playing us.

C'MON, IT'S ONLY ACCRINGTON STANLEY FFS

10/10 for Fred title

3/10 for attempted wummery over Accy's pitch, unless trying to be deliberately ironic, in which case 0/10

Thinking the rest is a disguised complement over Accy's form this season. They have a couple of games on hand over us, so this would be an excellent game for us to win. I'd take a spirited draw to banish the ghosts of last season's horror show.

I would hope FM will be taking the p*ss as I personally feel this is one of our toughest games of the season.

and if..............if the game is on (that P-P part could be correct) I think if both sides have their best teams out this could well be L2 game of the season. I think its 2 sides who will play a very forward attack based game, would be a very blood and thunder type of game with both sides full of very hard working players.

could lack quality, but should have a lot of moments in the game. This type of game is a massive test to our squads 'character'

If the game is already in doubt surely the sensible thing to do is to reverse the fixture.
I reckon it should be played at Brunton Park:crazy:

If it goes ahead, I think we'll win 3-2.

I'd take a spirited draw to banish the ghosts of last season's horror show.

Since that defeat we have really been on the up, so maybe it's what was needed for someone like Curle to finally come out and give hell to the dross that we had playing for us then and the pretty much part of the same dross the 2 previous seasons. Greg Abbott would just defend the players no matter how half arsed they were he'd just blame it on our location and that we can't compete against the bigger clubs, Kavanagh on the other hand would just mumble an utter load of rubbish you could never hear clearly.

So maybe we should thank Accrington Stanley for helping us look like the worst and most disinterested team ever to play a match.

Here's something we all knew... John Coleman is a twat
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35162652

He's pissed off that the FL allowed us to find alternative venues while they had postponements. Even though their postponements were at short notice and I doubt Accrington could have found alternative accommodation had they bothered to enquire to the FL about it.

I hope when he comes to BP later in the season we turn the floodlights off in the middle of his post-match interview again :)

Our whole ground was flooded and it pretty much destroyed the interior not just the pitch, every time Accrington get a game called off due to a waterlogged pitch does all their offices and changing rooms etc get flooded and completely wrecked too? No they don't. This is an entirely different case and isn't short notice either.

It is clear to me that Coleman is a complete imbecile and should think just a little bit harder before he speaks out about something. I would not say he is trolling us, he just speaks his mind and the last manager to talk shit about us before a match ended up getting beat off us. Ronnie Moore I recall.

This game could have a bit of an atmosphere to it after these comments just like away at Hartlepool, only this will be a harder test as they are right up our arses in 6th place with 2 games in hand.

Firstly.....excellent as it adds spice to the game, I like abit of fun and games beforehand in a game.

That entire piece from Coleman is just 'mind games' nothing more.

the problem for Coleman is I think he's just given us victory as he hasn't at all judged well the character in our squad this season, maybe he's judging it on our squad last season or other squads which yep that could well have 'wound them up' enough to distract them from focus on the game.

This years squad will use that as incentive to work harder to rub it right back in his face, did he not read of a squad which went out while their cars and homes were flooded and thumped their opponents 5-0, or the side which then decided on way home on the bus to spend time helping our local residents and spent days lumping out furniture and goods onto the street, or read about the side which had to play its first 'home' match 90 miles away and easily won the game 3-0.

That isn't signs of a side which will get suckered in to some war of words or wound up by what other tricks managers throw at them, probably a side which moreso is just going to double its focus on winning the game than p*ss about with the off-field stuff.

Good idea...............but at wrong squad this year, think it should and could well backfire on him big time in regards to actual match.

That pic is clearly of the pitch while work is being done to it.

I'll be gutted if this is postponed, though with the weather today and forecast for tomorrow, it's not looking too good.

Pitch inspection early tomorrow morning which basically means it's off.

Need to remain positive, at least we'll be able to play the Plymouth game at Ewood Park next weekend.
Oh, their game today has been postponed...

It's alright, if that one is postponed at least we'll be okay for the FA Cup game at Bloomfield Road. Oh, theirs has been flooded too? :pond:
