I think to call it a legal technicality is to undersell the distinction. Paedophilia is a diagnosable psychiatric disorder, it shouldn't really be mentioned in the same breath as what Johnson did.

Two years is actually a massive difference in age in one's teenage years. Physically and mentally it's very different being 13 and being 15. And this is not defending Johnson as in saying he's innocent, for he's not, just defending him against the pedophile tag, which he doesn't deserve, imo.
