later sacked by the Professional Game Match Officials board. In February 2009 he was reinstated as a Select Group Referee on appeal, but suspended for eight months from August 6, 2008, - the date of his original ban - for ''issues relating to his private business affairs''.

Also, how could he blamed for the Mendes goal given how far away from the action he was at the time?

The Nani incident was spot on... Not sure why it's a controversial decision? Surely he should have been praised for getting a decision right rather than it being labelled as controversial?

He was also cleared of any wrongdoing in the Mikel racial incident

I've only skimmed the article, but out of the six included I've already shown half of them to be either unfair or incorrect.

a) Referees are human.
b) They make mistakes because...ummmmm....see a) above.
c) The fans of PL clubs only see the wrongs against their players but, curiously, totally miss or justify (with a straight face and in all earnestness) the bad behaviour of their own players.

Seven useful reasons why your own players are not fucked up cheating low-life scumbags:
1) the TV cameras don't show the incident clearly.
2) everyone else gets away with it
3) the other player dived
4) the other player clearly broke his own leg with a little hammer secreted in a specially-constructed anal pouch
5) the other player has always been fucking shit, man!
6) he played like he has to play
7) I go tomorrow for what I consider comparable, in terms of dedication and passion.

Look mate, we're the victims here. Please accordingly show a little bit of empathy.

Oh I'm sorry. You clearly seem to have forgotten this incident. Your players queuing up to demand Karl Henry be sent off.

So empathy, you say? Victim? Oh ho ho ho. Sorry, my sides appears to be splitting as I laugh so hard.

50,000 Arsenal hypocrites. See my point c) above.:ohy:

Because he's had one poor game almost ten years ago? Or because he's gay?
There was a period where every game he made cock ups. And i'm not just on about Everton games he was chocking on loads of games.

Wether he drops anchor in pooh bay is not important.

Well he gave a yellow card to someone and then the person he went on holiday with whispered in his ear and he changed his decision to red.

He also never sent off a player for what can only be described " a flying Dutchman " tackle. see pic
th

And then to complete the hatrick of all hatricks never gave a penalty to the opposing team of his holiday buddy.

And then he was banned from ever refereeing an Everton game until further notice...........7 years later he was allowed back to Goodsion

and gave us every decision we asked for in the game :2thumb:

Not as tinpot as Arsenal fans refusing to shop at Costa Coffee in protest of Gabrielles red card.

The Latte firm manage to embarrass themselves every week. They really are a sad bunch of nonces.

Mike Dean's a Tranmere fan... they've never forgiven us for winning there in the league cup in 1973! Only team with a 100% record at Highbury ;)

Mike Dean had a nightmare on Saturday, but it's not a reason to start a petition like this.

Costa looks like he could be retroactively charged.. We didn't deserve points on Saturday, poor officiating or not. I would say officials could/should be fined if clubs can be charged with failure to keep players in control. Costa had several bookable offences, took a dive, and Jose had to take him off after he ran through Oxlade-Chamberlain at the end of the game. If Dean officiates properly/consistently, tempers don't reach that level.

Sorry but I think that's a load of bollocks. Only in football is it considered the referees job to manage the tempers of the players. They're like big fucking kids.

Let the individual get punished and be done with it - but if clubs are going to be fined, I think referees can be held accountable, too. The teams get their punishment via losing players to suspension - why the double whammy?
