Akinde missing is a boost, but Chris Hackett starts and he'll be a threat and Shaun Batt always struck me as s decent striker for Orient. If anyone in this league can handle Jabo it's Dembele.

Barnet have one of the best home records in the league.

Barnet were by far the better team at Brunton park. Our goalscorers that day are only on the bench, Barnets are starting.

We haven't picked up a point since 19th December.

this will be a very tough game and despite Barnet having players missing, we'll have to be on our game if we are to get anything today.

We're just about edging it so far but we don't look like scoring in a million years.

A point wouldn't be the worst result, but that would probably mean keeping a clean sheet which is a big ask for us.

I'm really not convinced at all by Mark Ellis.

Don't agree, if the chances hadn't fallen to Batt we would be winning

Have to bring Gilliead or Asamoah on, probably for Wyke.

We just look a bit toothless today

I'm hearing Akinde has been sold. Batt as been through three times and doesn't even look like hitting the target. His best control was when offside he cushioned the ball to the keeper

Wyke seemed a right dirty player that half

We wouldn't score in this match if we play until next weekend.

Considering how toothless we've been, got to be happy with a point and a clean sheet.

It stops the rot.

That sounded like a fairly poor game, but it's a point gained.
It MUST be followed up with a win next weekend against York though.

And a win on Tuesday would be very nice as well.

Yeah, no doubt. I was focusing on the league, and while we're still in a good position, we've been a bit rusty. 2 important games in the coming week.

Is this what all of Barnet's matches are like now?

One to forget but a point is a point and a draw away is always good, but we seriously have to beat York next Saturday at home and if we don't get the 3 points then for the first time this season we will be bitterly disappointed with our team.

Hope we can build on this point. Nice to have a clean sheet though, well done defence!

Back on the Brunton carpet next Saturday, should be able to get around 6k fans down considering all the good PR we've had in Carlisle and across the country since the floods, people wanting to get behind the team when we're back home again it seems. We should really be looking to smash York in all honesty, attack from the off and if we can get back playing like we were around the Notts County/Welling matches then we should win comfortably. It'd be just like us to screw it up though.

Quite a lot of them are like this, yes.
Surprised that you didn't bring Asamoah on earlier as we contained Ibehre well. Hope you all enjoyed the Batt show. I can confidently predict that he won't ever score a goal for us.

Aye it's shite having players like that isn't it, we've had our fair share of them in the last few years.

I don't know why Asamoah came on so late, thought Curle would of made changes upfront a bit earlier, but hey ho he's the manager so he knows best right?

Curle continues to evade actually answering the question about when/whether he'll be signing the new contract, slightly disconcerting but the way he answers it alongside the way JP asks it makes me think they both know it's a formality.

I don't think we actually played poorly, all things considered. Our style is shit and Gash and Batt upfront is never going to work, but we negated Carlisle's good attack to virtually nothing.

Just Batt, man. If Akinde was on he'd have had a hattrick.

That's about right. That breakaway in the second where he went past the Carlisle defender, cut into the area and then fell over his feet exemplified his performance.

I would love to hear an honest view from Carlisle fans of what they thought of Batt up front did he look like the donkey I was watching???

Barnet defended well on the whole but I think we were the better side in most areas. Neither team was going to score as both defended well but the second half we should've made a few more chances for ourselves, we were dominating and did have quite a lot more attempts than Barnet plus they should've had a man sent-off which would've changed the course of the game completely. I would've been pretty confident of the win had the ref made the correct decision there but not too displeased with the draw considering he didn't get that right alongside every other decision in the game which he bottled.

We made the clearer chances, albeit they all fell to Batt while Carlisle had more of the ball. Batt failed to test the Carlisle keeper while all of Jamie Stephens' saves were routine.
I didn't see any incident where we should have had a player sent off, the Hackett tackle in the first half was mistimed, that's all.
