tbf to the City fans the game was played 24 hrs later. Definitely not enough time to rearrange plans for many people.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Don't worry silkyman you're saved!! The powers that be are putting in robots to fill out those empty seats.

Typical. City finally start to be half decent for a bit and bastard SkyNet turns up. Need to be proactive and get one sent back to stop the enemy before it can even start...

Govan: 1940... A knock at the door is answered to reveal a strange man... 'Are you Elizabeth Ferguson?'

attendances? It was his first match with City in the CL and it was a re-arranged one. Let's wait how many will show up for the next home match and if this happens again, then he can moan about it.

I don't know if this a general problem with City Fans and the CL (maybe they don't give a shit about it) but I was last year at the Etihad with Gladbach fans. We were approx. 4000 Germans and overall there were approx. 42.000 at all. Not sold out but 10.000 til 12.000 more than yesterday.

Manchester City were unreal last night, they are just absolutely ruthless at the minute and look like scoring every time they go forward. Was quite amusing the amount of empty seats, why do all the City fans seem to get up and piss off after 85 minutes no matter what the score is. Great start for Leicester as well winning 3-0 away in the Champions League is never easy and puts them in a great early position in the group. Spurs will be a bit gutted poor result for them last night, only early days though so not disastrous but don't think playing at Wembley is going to help them.

Manchester City 4-0 Borrusia Monchengladbach
Bayer Leverkusen 2-2 CSKA Moscow
Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Monaco
Legia Warsaw 0-6 Borrusia Dortmund
Real Madrid 2-1 Sporting Lisbon
Club Brugge 0-3 Leicester City
FC Porto 1-1 FC Copenhagen
Juventus 0-0 Sevilla
Lyon 3-0 Dinamo Zagreb

What's wrong with you?
Everytime that Sergio Rico plays against Juve he becomes Buffneurtois (Buffon + Neuer + Courtois). And Aytekin is simply an incompetent refree, because he hasn't seen a clear penalty for us.

I'm eagerly awaiting Silkyman's review of the comedic virtues of Guardiola's comments on the empty seats at the Ethiad last night.

If he shows anything resembling consistency he will tell Guardiola he is a troll and he will find a way to block him.

Ranieri on Mahrez...

“Maybe the music woke up him!” the Leicester manager said. “Maybe he’s tired of dilly-ding, dilly dong and the Champions League music woke him. I liked his [performance], he worked very hard.”

This matchday in the CL is "Germany vs Spain". 3 of the 4 German teams have to play against the Top teams of LaLiga.

My predictions:

Atletico vs Bayern:
At least a draw for Bayern, but maybe even an away win. Carlo Ancelotti is the first Bayern Coach ever to won his first 8 competitive matches (in CL, League and Cup)

Dortmund vs Real
Most likely a draw. Real recently a bit weak and the first CL Match against Sporting was won a bit lucky in the end.

Gladbach vs Barcelona:
Normally a loss for Gladbach but after the disappointing performance at ManCity they showed that they've found their form and maybe (only maybe) with a bit of luck they can get a draw (Messi is out)

Monaco vs Leverkusen
A draw most likely. They can't afford to lose but with this "Pills club" you never know what you get.

Congratulations to Leicester and Spurs. Well done, both!

Typical Leverkusen: They led until the last second and then Monaco made the goal with their only chance and the match ended right after the kick-off  So instead of leading the group with 4 points they are only third with 2 points. Monaco was very weak but they made a draw with one chance. I'll never understand this Leverkusen club

Dortmund on the other hand had a great game. I predicted a draw here in the thread before but after this match I have to say that they had bad luck to draw this match.

I placed a tenner on celtic, couldn't believe they were 9/1.

Of course it might not last but those are crazy odds.

Conversely I've got an accumulator that includes City in it, would be happy to lose the money for City to lose, though.

Arsenal 2 - 0 Basel. Comfortable win in the end, could have been more if not for their keeper having a great game.

Hell of a game that. A little unlucky not to win, but that's never an easy place to go especially for a 'derby'. One thing City haven't had to do this season is come from behind, so good to see they have that in the old locker.

Sterling is looking great so far.

A guid dram
3 - 3 in the end between Celtic and City. Fair play to Fudgie, the first person to get anything out of Man City so far this season.

I've been his biggest critic in the past so it's only fair I acknowledge how good Sterling was tonight. Pep has really sorted him out.

At least we won't have to endure Silkyman telling us City have won every game since Pep's arrival after every game anymore.

Nice one, Celtic.

No need, I'll be collating some of the more ludicrous anti Sterling posts during the Euros in due course :hypo:

Some of my previous comments still stand, like he bizarrely can't kick the ball with his left foot. He genuinely struggles to get it off the floor.

Only four sides in the Champions League got through the second round of fixtures with a 100% record - Atletico, Barca, Napoli and Leicester.

"City haven't lost since Pep's arrival" maybe from now on? :D

Only four sides in the Champions League got through the second round of fixtures with a 100% record - Atletico, Barca, Napoli and Leicester.

So, Bayern lost again to a spanish side. So it's a deeper problem than only Pep Guardiola didn't want them to win against spanish sides. :D
No, even Carlo "have won my first 8 competitive matches" Ancelotti has no solution to this dilemma yet and this could mean another final without Bayern because 2 or 3 spanish sides will be waiting in the semifinals. Or, maybe they'll draw ManCity for the semifinal, so at least the final is possible ;)

What? This is future? Really? I thought this is already fixed

A reporter asked Pep if he wanted the City fans to replicate the sort of atmosphere the Celtic fans create at Celtic Park and his response was to burst out laughing.

(4:25)

Very interesting.

Not a bad 2nd matchday for British sides, Leicester City beating Porto at the King Power giving them a 6 point haul from 2 games, and putting them in a commanding position in their group. Spurs get off the mark with a 1-0 away win at CSKA Moscow, never an easy place to win. Manchester City and Celtic sharing the spoils at Celtic Park which I suspect both sides will be relatively pleased with, City sat in 2nd in a strong position. Arsenal comfortably sweeping past FC Basel at the Emirates gives them 4 points from 2 and with the PSG game at home they'll be confident.

Arsenal 2-0 FC Basel
Ludogorets 1-3 PSG

Beskitas 1-1 Dynamo Kiev
Napoli 4-2 Benfica

Borussia Moncengladbach 1-2 Barcelona
Celtic 3-3 Manchester City

Atletico Madrid 1-0 Bayern Munich
FC Rostov 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

CSKA Moscow 0-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Monaco 1-1 Bayer Leverkusen

Borussia Dortmund 2-2 Real Madrid
Sporting Lisbon 2-0 Legia Warsaw

FC Copenhagen 4-0 Club Brugge
Leicester City 1-0 Porto

Dinamo Zagreb 0-4 Juventus
Sevilla 1-0 Lyon
