The one on the Chesterfield website.
Oh yeah. He's always quite complimentary of the opposition to be fair.

It's concerning that he's not just ruled himself out of leaving straight away. I think the phrase was 'it's difficult to be loyal in football' that he came out with. I don't want him to go :dk:

I would be gutted if he left.

Precisely the phrase you shouldn't say to any football supporter.

I think the signs are pointing towards Cookie leaving as soon as our interest in the playoffs has ended, whatever the outcome of that may be. It will become more obvious if Portsmouth are prepared to wait for that to happen.

I don't really blame him. It's such a shame to see us selling ourselves short once more.

The timing of it was weird. Surely Portsmouth could of waited until after the season? To approach him whilst Chesterfield are more than likely going to be in the playoffs is poor from them imo

It's just an unsettling distubance nobody needs right now. The players, the fans, the staff, Cook himself. Anyone who says it won't have SOME sort of effect on the team foir the rest of the season is kidding themselves.

I've fallen out with them over this. How hard would it be just to pissing wait a little bit

Yep, very poor on Pompey's part!

Pay up Pompey.

Hopefully Chesterfield clinch 5th and then have a week of talk about the gaffer leaving. Nothing against the club, would just be perfect for us heading into the play offs.

Chesterfield have a decent chance in the playoffs, this may galvanise them

Is he going to meet the portsmouth players tomorrow as they are conveniently over the M1 playing us?

Bit disrespectful from Pompey though, rumour is it they are going to have a pretty massive budget next season and should be looking for promotion (though they do say that each season)

I agree with you. Our away support has been very dissapointing recently given the circumstances. Only 900 went to the promotion clincher at Bradford, and now this.
The reason why only 900 went is because it was a Tuesday, and far away up in Bradford, and chances are they'll have to go to work the following day.
Anyway i think City might lose 1-0, the lads probably won't perform their best with nothing to play for IMO.

I think Chesterfield will win tomorrow and I don't mind if it means they are in the play offs. They've got a real chance and are quite a likeable club!

Spot on GG. We don't give a shit and I see no reason to dislike Chesterfield. Good luck to them.
I will be the one on the sunbed by the way! :P1:
In all seriousness, regardless of what Cott's says, our season is long over and the SpirEites season isn't. We will lose tomorrow and it really doesn't matter to us but Chesterfield can go into the play offs with lots of confidence.
We will give you a game though, as Champions should, then we'll get the sun cream out.
HOME win.

Really looking forward to today's game, despite them dicks trying to derail our season.

1-1 draw for me, Roberts with our goal, and an mk win to make the bank holiday weekend the mightiest piss up the worlds ever seen.

I think this will be a draw, Chesterfield played some great stuff down at the gate.. Was quite surprised when they had quite a large blip.. But showed great character to get themselfs back into form and in to the play offs. Will have a great chance in them too with being the most in form team.

Less than a hundred tickets left for home fans I think.

I'd have bet anything that it'd have been the other way around - BC sell out and us not being close.

It's pretty poor on our part admittedly.

Did you open up the area we didn't sell to home fans?

It's been a hideously expensive month or so mind you with Wembley, then long trips up north to Bradford and Preston. I'm looking forward to a much more southern Championship.

2 1/2 hour drive for what is essentially a dead game with nothing on the line and expenses given recent trips. No POTD option and over 1600 is dissapointing? Not really.

As am I - hence why I am hoping Rotherham go down, Millwall stay up.

Also, at the other end of the table - I hope M'Boro go up, and Watford stay down, as unlikely as that looks.

Will be interesting to see Preston's away followings should they come up with us next year in a more Southern league, given a few of their fans have bashed our followings throughout the season.

Or put it this way - best season in our history in terms of success, already Champions and a big party expected - and we didn't sell out.

It's poor whatever way you look at it.

Given its higher then our average away attendance in a season where weve been top near all the way I think its alright. Could have been better but could have been worse.
