What about Bury FC actually paying its debts to those it owes. And there are a lot of people.

This is all the fault of Steve Dale and Bury FC, nobody else. Everyone's just had enough of them and their boom and bust existence. You cant use HMRC as an overdraft and you can't avoid your debts to staff and businesses

Could not agree more
Any money paid should go to genuine creditors of the club (not Grizzly and his family)
The good thing is it may make it difficult for other teams to fall victim to unscrupulous scum owners.

Bury will rise again, it might actually be fun being sustainable. Where you play however is a huge question. People like Dale need driving out of the game

So there's potentially going to be 2 clubs ran by supporters, fighting over a fanbase of 3-4 thousand people??? this whole thing is ridiculous

Why can't these people work together and have one united club, instead of going this route that won't benefit anyone

More important is who now owns Gigg Lane? Because if it’s neither groups this is completely pointless.

Because I'm sick of being abused and called a rat by some rather unpleasant types and will not be supporting the "old guard" who got into so much shit in the first place.
Rather be in the neither regions of non league and if we bugger it up it will be OUR fault not dodgy suits
AFC for me.

Feasibility study, joint council and AFC showing Gigg has merit as a football ground (EST redacted all the bad bits about Gigg) but does not meet terms of Council sporting provision due to size of area around Gigg.
Athletics track on Market street in the centre of town was a much preferred option, study released last week to SFC members.
Costs frightening for a small club mind.

So a ground that hosted "sport" for 130+ years and would still be doing so today but for an idiot chairman, doesn't tick the council's boxes for a sports venue? An objective overview would concluded that the "problem" lies with the council jobworth's check list, not the venue, :ffs:

Indeed. This is what happened when Scarborough AFC went bust and why 14 years later they've never risen higher than the Northern Premier league.:ds:

Other than a name and possibly a ground, what else does Bury FC have? I’m assuming they’ve not got any registered players or management, they’re not in any league (and have no guarantee as to where they would enter the pyramid). And one would assume that even on exiting administration they would still have a significant debt. And that debt wouldn’t factor continued use of Gigg Lane (stewarding costs and utilities would be an issue) or the cost of assembling a whole new playing and management staff.

No,
the council want to add a health and fitness centre with pool. They would then close the council owned on in the centre which needs upgrading and sell the land to help fund. Gigg insufficient ground area to accommodate.

It's complicated!!
To continue as the "old club" would need a lot of money to clear debts, including to the fat grizzly tit who is STILL the chairman.
Otherwise they would be a new co club IE yet another Phoenix which they hate AFC for.
Not got a scoobys if the have the money but it will need a bloody lot.
Cannot see this working but they have to be given some credit for trying. Just not personally able to invest more emotion in to a club I do not think can financially survive when I am very happy with a 100% fan owned club.
Bury Fc's name has been dragged through so much mud and been so spectacularly mismanaged for so long it no longer is an entity I can feel comfortable with.

Too much unknown yet to your average Bury fan to make any sort of decision yet other than blind optimism. I’m afraid there will be some anguish either way for a good portion of fans.
