Interesting that the same people who cry about the long-term side effects of the vaccine being unknown are happy that there's no severe long-term side effects of Omicron (cos the Mail says so).
Must be true then. Apparently they reckon Southend will get promoted this season.

That‘s a desperately stupid post, hilariously oblivious to its own ignorance. Those suggestions I made weren’t my ideas but were themselves the opinion of experts in the fields of immunology, virology, and epidemiology (apologies for the big words, let’s hope someone gets you a My First Dictionary for Christmas).

I often wonder how arseholes like Boris Johnson get anywhere near positions of power, and then I read contributions from halfwits like you and it all becomes clear. Personally, I wouldn’t allow the likes of you near a sharp pencil, never mind letting you vote with it as well.

Happy fucking Christmas.
I presume bellend lockdown fan boys like you haven’t been to any games over Christmas? Or gone out at all? Would be a bit hypocritical otherwise.

Their restrictions are having zero impact at all, the devolved governments are in danger of looking pretty silly here.

Not one mention of Ian Burchnall laughing in the face of covid to defeat Wrexham.

Looks convincing until you realise that England reported its data over Christmas/New Year and the other home nations haven’t updated theirs yet.
They're a week behind - up to 27/12. It was still a big difference in trajectory even then but that could also partly be because London had Omicron first. We'll know a lot more by next week but that'll have hospitalisations through to February baked in by then.

I'm still not convinced there is evidence that Wales/Scotland went too far too soon but I am selfishly pleased that I can get my football fixes and accepting that I'll probably catch Covid in the next few weeks (>65 triple vacced). Half my usual travel buddies have had it in recent weeks.

We're participating in a gamble/experiment and, provided the information is out there, I'm happy to go along with it.

What the fuck are you talking about you clown? Where I have I said I’m a ‘fan’ of lockdowns?

Restrictions or other measures are only of any use if they apply to everyone, so me or anyone else not going out is a waste of time. But even a thick twat like you knows that, so why talk such bollocks?

Several local health authorities have declared critical incidents because of a lack of staff, so what do you propose to do about that?

In fact the NHS is now on a ‘war footing’ so yeah, Coco from Woking and Bozo from Halifax were entirely correct in their expert assessment that extra measures shouldn’t have been brought in over Christmas. Jesus wept.

My (not that well informed, but from a bit of reading clever people’s thoughts) view would be that what Wales and Scotland are doing is basically pointless. Their measures aren’t going to be anywhere near enough to have a significant impact on something so transmissible, but will still annoy people. The options are probably a full lockdown for quite a long time or try and ride it out.

Really if England doesn't put any restrictions in place then Scotland and Wales putting them in place is pissing in the wind. I can drive ten minutes down the road and get all the Covid I want from the English. Absolutely riddled.

That man hasn't laughed a day in his life. Far too earnest.

He's usually pretty calm and relaxed and seems a pretty happy fellow most of the time. The only time I've seen him rattled was after the Halifax debacle.
Phil Parkinson though, not a natural born chuckler is he.

The most hilarious manager in this season’s NL is Pete ‘Wild’ Wild, 57, who spent years honing his comedy act in tough northern working men’s club before entering the world of football coaching relatively late

The fact that the NHS is short staffed is a direct result of critical underfunding for years from Tory government. We’ve constantly been told throughout the pandemic that the NHS has been at breaking point therefore it’s our duty to lock ourselves down for them. That excuse has worn thin now and no longer holds weight, we’re not here to lockdown just to protect the NHS.

I’ve been double jabbed, had covid and now I’ve got it again. I feel absolutely fine second time around after feeling horrendous the first time and I’m certain that’s because of the vaccine. What more can you do than that? You can’t just keep imposing more lockdowns because people are ‘short staffed’
