Seems to me that the only reasonable thing to do if/when the season is scrapped is to place clubs according to the all time table they are talking about in the league two forum.

http://www.rsssf.com/tablese/engprof-alltime.html

I will settle for 78th place and back in league two along with our fellow fallen brothers

The table forms the basis of the Natural Order as we know, alongside various factors such as trophies won, attendances and league position year on year. I'm happy with 73rd though and being placed historically around the top of League Two or thereabouts.

Great to see some of the old names on there of defunct clubs, Chester, Darlington, Halifax, Hereford etc.

I was in the suspend the season camp but there's no way it'll get completed at this rate, confirmed cases are increasing roughly by 25% daily, we're on course to break a 1,000 by Saturday give or take.

Knock this season on the head lads, it's done.
Crisis over, we won't break 1,000 confirmed cases because we're not going to test people any more.

Arteta getting it has got to be the turning point, seems completely mad to be trying to carry on as normal.

Arteta getting it isn't a surprise as the owner of the Greek team Arsenal played in Europe got it and that was why Man City v Arsenal earlier this week was cancelled as several people at Arsenal were self isolating.

I thought the site only went down when there are football matches on?

I don't think we will be the last club looking at how they can cut costs until the football re-starts

Absolutely, given how our business model is largely funded by the Ruislip Social Club, I imagine we'll need to get the begging bowl out to survive these next few months (best case scenario).

Club is finished. Awful, awful day. That club is synonymous with so many parts of my life and memories of family members of whom memories are all I have left.

Unfortunately this virus will give the chairman the perfect opportunity to hide behind something. How is it that we are the first club that has done this, after the ‘success of the Hive site’ and money from player sales etc? It’s a decision jumped on by the chairman to save money and as usual he throws people under the bus in the most callous way possible, just like he always has done.

Not quite sure what I’ll do now. That club meant a fucking lot to me.

When we nearly went to the wall two years ago we were told the drop in revenue from League two to this league is 70% once the parachute payments dry up and unless you have an owner willing to chuck ridiculous amounts at it you have to cut your cloth accordingly. Despite the move and tenants seems that it’s not work out and the drop in gate is a killer, but who can blame fans when you move out of your natural location.

Barnet are the first but I don't think they'll be the last. It won't just be football either, plenty of supporters are going to be out of work too.
Tough times.

This feels nothing like the mid 90s when the club looked like disappearing.
This time we are cutting our cloth early to make sure we do still exist at the end of all this.

Fingers crossed we all get though it and jobs become available again.

Tough times for Barnet and I suspect several more. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if we and a few others left standing find themselves back in the FL league in some way shape or form when this is all over.

.....And in turn will be seen as the cheapest promotions ever. Doesn't sit right that at all.

Harrogate fans getting a hard on for their chances of being promoted due to clubs in the EFL folding. Get some class.

Yes, I’m not saying it’s a good thing, just fairly likely, although I’m not sure how the £50m rescue package announced yesterday for FL clubs would affect things.

Do you think you'll drop to PT soon? I can't imagine the Chairman will want to, but losing £100k a month is a massive figure, even more so for a Club the size of Barnet.

Barrow fans seem to think we are entitled to promotion because we've been top since November - even though we're only a couple of defeats off being overtaken.

We got voted out of the league 40-odd years ago and they've resented it ever since. Now they'll happily take promotion on a technicality. Fuck that.

The general consensus among fans seems to be that we will. Attendances nowhere near break even.

Barnet are full time on gates less than half ours. Go figure.

A terribly run club, TK has a lot to answer for

We're not by any means in a terrible position financially overall compared to some at this level but TK's decision making for many years now has been absolutely shocking. Unbelievably bad managerial appointments until Currie came along. Add that to him pissing off pretty much everyone and burning bridge after bridge with fans, managers, players and agents and it's not surprising we are where we are.

John Still deserves a huge chunk of the blame too. A top 3 budget blown on mid table players. Frustratingly TK gave him free reign where he would normally micromanage.
