Is there an argument to scrap the Trophy this year? Maybe it's just because I'm not interested in it. Maybe I'm not looking at the bigger picture but can the lower tiers even play in it?
Given the likely covid problems the Trophy & Vase should have missed a season

Dover players and Staff have received the COVID test results and all are clear , so the Woking game
on Tuesday will go ahead, now just the rain to contend with now

Weymouth v Yeovil has been postponed.

Not just because Weymouth are isolating but we too have now reported Covid cases within our club.

*Edit* that was fake news it turns out, we have no cases at our club.

Accusing people of running to the media, but any half intelligent person can see that Boreham Wood getting 6(?) times more per head than Notts County doesn't add up...

It'd be interesting to know what this apparent agreement was because it obviously isn't based on lost gate revenue as everyone expected.

Just a coincidence that all the signatories are chairmen of clubs who have done very well out of the current carve-up.

Our Chairman didn't put his name to it despite being on the board of the National League.

Can't see teams from major conurbations getting down to T2 by then, good news for all the others though

Sadly most of Kent is likely to be in tier 3, so that will be another thing for our owners to moan about

Probably last 2 weeks or so then another lockdown as cases will go up after all the Christmas parties.

There's a fair few people I know who are making a big scene about how they must have a normal Christmas. These same people will be the first to moan/blame the government if everyone gets ill or a family member dies due to a big gathering.

Sadly I can see this leading to a big spike in cases/deaths in January and a lot of people regretting having big xmas gatherings.

Particularly if they work in retail or hospitality which will be affected again.

We should be okay as the entire South West is going to be tier one I believe.

We'll be happy to welcome those Hollywood chaps down to the English Riviera on the 5th December for their first taste of Natonal League footy.

Beggars can’t be choosers at this point obviously, but it’s not great for making it a level playing field if some teams are effectively able to have home advantage and others not.

We’ve got no chance of having a game anytime soon, Corona is going up around Dagenham area and has been for weeks which is a shame as hardly anyone’s who actually goes to games lives local anymore.

Saying that the club have emailed fans to confirm if no Tier 3 for the areas fans will be allowed for our game against Notts next Wednesday, max capacity will be 1400 to allow for social distancing.

The government should surely have the bollocks to ban gatherings then, same as the rest of the year, the virus doesn’t celebrate Christmas. The attitude seems to be ‘do what you like, but don’t blame us when your granny dies’.

Good news on the fans front though, does this mean that we might now have to face the full force of the Dagenham Ultras next week?

Very wary of these developments. I'm not convinced it's in the best interests of the club.

I wish I understood this sort of thing. Some people are saying it’s a good idea, some saying we’re screwed :dk:

Didn’t read the article but our council own the ground and I’m glad they do as if you’ve got a rogue owner like us you will at least keep that asset when the shit hits the fan.

The downside is obviously it won’t get much redevelopment to push on as a club (and might put off potential investors) but I reckon in these times it’s better to have that fail safe than not.

Saved Aldershot twice. We were effectively liquidated in ‘92, and as tenants were able to negotiate a new rental agreement and restart. Same again in 2013. There is no doubt that the ground would have been flogged off to pay the creditors. The downside, of course, is that basically we don’t own a pot to piss in, and it’s almost impossible to attract investors.
We have, however, negotiated a long lease (100yrs+) ,and plans are afoot for modest development.
Good luck, beware of circling sharks....
