I would take a scrappy 1-0. We just need three points. As for the team I would play Burge and maybe Lameras or Cole instead of JOB.

Uber negative as all our away games, have a great record against Coventry over the years but dare say we will defend well but concede a sloppy goal and lose 1-0 as per standard away performance.

If Port Vale come and sit back like most teams have recently we'll struggle again. 0-0.

We won't attack or even hit you on the counter. We play best at home when we take the game to the opposition, but there is no chance we'll do that away from home. The thing is when we do attack it's all too slow and predictable.

How many Vale do you reckon?

Boxing Day surely we'll take 1500?

Can't see anything beyond a heavy defeat in this. I'll go 4-0 without Vale having a single attempt on goal, then Page saying he was proud of the lads as they gave their all.

Hoping for at least a thousand of us, make a bit of noise, but not too sure if we'll take that many anymore..

That would be my team but doubt that is what Mowbray will go for.

Be a draw.

As always we will dominate, but a couple of poor defensive errors will cost us again.

Personally would play

RCC

Phillips-Ricketts-Martin-Stokes

Vince-Fleck

Murphy-Maddison-O'Brien
Armstrong

However Mowbray will start Kent and probably Cole.

Our heaviest defeat is 2-0 and yet to concede 3 all season. The reason ? utter defensive negative garbage from Page. Most games we seem to be 0-0 till the 60- 70 minute mark, concede a goal and no plan B. So sick of this crap, 11 away games and i think its 7 of those to NIL. Probably follow the usual away game rules and lose 1-0. Coventry not getting results at the moment all that will change on Boxing Day. And why the Crewe pillock football purist has suddenly appeared on every Vale thread is beyond me, how a Crewe fan can remotely knock away support is laughable.

Boxing Day is probably the time for negative tactics to a degree and by the sounds of it teams have had joy against them with that, its more against the likes of Rochdale away or Colchester when we should be going for the win!

"AS ALWAYS"

You just don't get over-exaggeration, which is surprising considering you have backed us to win by 3/4 goals every week... I thought you were only joking.

Doesn't bother me to be honest. There's a fair amount of truth in what he says though whether he is wise to say it is a point of debate. Only issue I take is where he says "we are winning games". Recently that is just not true and there have been some downright dull performances to go with it.

Wish a North End player would come out and say that tbh. All the moany old c*** would have a meltdown. It'd be brilliant.

Guess this outburst won't go down well with the Vale fans?

Totally agree with him to be frank. We are four points of the top six, home form the best it's been in a decade and well clear of the danger the bookies and pundits expected after last seasons late collapse.

We finished 18th in League Two seven years ago ffs we've recovered well and are doing ok.
