Given how both teams did on friday it wouldn't be too surprising to see another high scoring game.
Not sure we'll come out on top if we go gung ho and just go for goal. We still look prone to dodgy decision making at the back.
I've changed my mind about a drab loss by 1 but I still reckon we lose this and something silly like 6-3.

There’s been 111 goals in our games this season (the most in the league) we’ve got 63 of them (also the most in the league) though 2 of the last 3 home games have curiously been 0-0.

Long journey to Colchester today. Weve won back to back games which is about as good as its been for us this season. Its a massive game for Colchester who really can't afford to lose this one with form of Hartlepool currently. I fancy our attackers will get us something out of this Baker-Richardson, Agyei and Long all firing recently, may be a dead rubber for us but I feel we have alot of players looking to fi osh the season strong in order to get a decent move.

Colchester 0-2 Crewe (Agyei, Baker-Richardson) 220 railwaymen travelling down south.

Definitely true. We have no pace in team, even with our acquisitions, so we will not be able to hit you on the break. I think our stats are about 4 shots over the last 4 away games.

I think we are just about safe and you could deny the loathsome Evans an automatic spot, so I could see a bright side in a narrow defeat.
This is more or less true. Its all very well us sitting in and being defensive, but we just don't have anything on the break to be a threat playing that way. I wonder if we might see Clarke get some minutes in the final few games to see if he has the ability to address that aspect of our away performances.

I hope we don't set up for a 0-0 like we did at Stockport, which although successful in the end was rubbish to watch. I just want us to play as we do at home - pressure on, crosses into the box, control the game in the opposition half. I think that'll be tough tk do this afternoon, but I'd like us to at least try!

Torn with the cobblers to be fair. Ideally they'll stay down as its my local away game, but then again they're more likely to be a threat next season than some of the others up there IMO. Same with Bradford, I'd rather them out of the way for next season.

Considering your form and having I think by my account 11 players injured, all who which are other than 1 either midfielders or defenders, I think this one is very likely a Gillingham win. However, nobody around is consistent enough that one result today will decide anything.

Moving on to tomorrows fixture - Sutton United at home!

Matt Platt saw red on Friday so we’ll be without him. Rumours suggest Romoney Critchlow is also injured. If this is the case, we’ve got Cieran Kelly to step in. I haven’t really seen enough of him to confirm whether he’s a solid enough replacement. However, when he has come on (admittedly late-on in games), he seems alright.

Luckily for him, he’ll be partnering Sam Stubbs - who is too good for this league.

Said it in my pre-match Crawley post and I’ll say it again. Hope Hughes doesn’t isolate Cook again with a 4231 - that he did.

4312 please you Welsh wizard!

GK: Harry Lewis

RB: Brad Halliday
CB: Cieran Kelly
CB: Sam Stubbs
LB: Liam Ridehalgh

CM: Ritchie Smallwood
CM: Ryan East
CM: Alex Gilliead

AM: Jamie Walker

ST: Andy Cook
ST: Matt Derbyshire

Must win game - simple as that. Lose and our every-slimming chances of autos is over.

3-0 City
That formation has been exposed one too many times now. Hughes has had to swith to 4-2-3-1 in every game we've started like that and had to do it against Crawley after 10 minutes because we were getting bummed out wide.

Plus that side is creating fuck all, we need width and crosses in the box for Cook. Also put Derbyshire on the bench because he's an impact sub not a starter for me.

Also this is probably my 100th time of asking for that donkey Ridehalgh to be dropped

Steves at home for us, massive bogey side (have we ever beaten them?) but they're not in great form and to be fair they borderline cheated their way to an undeserved home win in the reverse game so I've been waiting a while for us to smash them. Doubt we'll do that but they won't get an easy game. Quite an important match for both sides, quietly confident we will finally do them today but wouldn't be surprised if they shithoused a result in traditional Stevenage mould either.
May be wrong but I believe we have only beaten them once. 2017.. last time we were relegated

Very best of luck today, hope you smash them

Must win for us I'd think - we're going to need to win at least two more, if not three, and Crewe at home, Crawley away and Doncaster away are probably the three I'd look at as most winnable. But we cannot score goals and are winless in nine now.

The pitch was heavily criticised last time out and it has been chucking it down all morning, so I expect it will be a really ugly game today.

Gutted im not there today, think we need a result because I have a funny feeling Crawley are getting something.

Seems to be confidence around the squad atm, Grimsby result will have massively helped that as well.

I fancy btts and Pools win

Buckets...check
Spades...check
Donkeys...plenty of those on both teams, CHECK

Makes a change for the residents of Grimsby to be on the beach in Donny in April, usually it's the other way round. Hopefully we don't concede within the first 5-10 mins like we did last time we were here because let's face it, we're only here for the away end vibes today this one is as dead as rubber gets.

A good performance and a win to shut the fucking idiotic Fishy masses up though please lads. UTM.

Yet another injury for a key player. We're cursed at RWB this season. Senior, Back, Ellis all out for half of the season.

Enter Jordan Gibson, not known for his defensive prowess!

Bradford miles better than us. Should be out of sight despite us missing a pen.

We’re making Doncaster look like prime Brazil, yet another dreadful first half from us. Fantastic goal though I’m right behind it and as soon as it left his boot I said what a goal, then thought for a second that Crocombe had saved it but it went in off the post.
Atmosphere flat as fuck too as we’re playing so shit, was really looking forward to this but a shite away day so far.
Surely we have to play better second half ffs.

Poor game, poor referee - unnecessary yellows for both sides, and looked like he bottled a clear penalty when Armer was pulled down when goal side of Knowles, with a clear site of goal.

Other than that I have to say we've made little, and Walsall have matched us. Glaring lack of urgency from us, and Omari Patrick will soon see a second yellow if he isn't hooked - silly (but in this case deserved) booking for him, booting the ball away in frustration after being penalised for some imaginary infringement.

Need to see a big improvement in the second half, with most results going against us.

Battered them for 20, put foot off gas, they score then we switch on again. Bizarre first half and only ourselves to blame not to be winning.

Garbage half from us. Considering it’s a game we need to win we’ve been so flat. Poor passing, lacking quality.

Big improvements needed because play like this against Northampton and Stockport and we’ll get absolutely schooled.

Walsall down to ten, terrible decision - it's a booking, but never a red. This joker should not be a professional ref.

Awful day at the office for us, and not much help from elsewhere. Huge chance for us against 10 men, and we failed to take it. We can forget about automatic promotion if we don't beat the cobblers next week, and the late Wimbledon capitulation makes a playoff berth far from certain.

I need some booze.

Excellent from us today. Sutton comfortably the worst side to come here all season and in all honesty we should've put 6 or 7 past them even if we did get lucky with the pen.

Fucking hell like I'm still shaking, that last 10 aged me 20 years. How have we not won that? Mind you The Satans had one off the line right at the death, mental finish, absolute pinball

1-1 probably about fair but I'm gonna have nightmares over Euan Murray's miss and Finney treading on the ball in the 94th minute.
