Should never have sold Welbeck
Welé can't even get a first team football at Arsenal now most of the injured players are back.
I expect him in the starting XI for big away matches—and he's started 2/3 matches since returning from injury, even with Giroud being in excellent form. His end product is erratic, but he works diligently and his athleticism is top class. He did brilliantly to create Özil's goal at Tottenham, though it isn't reflected in the stat sheet. Our attacking depth is superior to United's, anyways, so not fitting in our XI isn't the best gauge for whatever point you were trying to make. Welbeck would be a Rodgers favourite, I imagine. High-press up the pitch and he tracks back. Play him in a trio with Sturridge and Sterling.
United could do with his effort and mobility given the static play of Rooney and Falcao. He has Yaya Sanogo's chaos factor with superior link-up play and dribbling. They'd be better off financially and have another homegrown player for the quota, too. Welbeck has still scored more than Falcao or Balotelli. Some are down on his scoring rate, but he's an important part of our squad going forward.
Not sure if that was a joke.i never watched him outside of the champions league, what was he like before he was shit? Fox in the box?
