Not forgetting the money that Ticketmaster makes too; on our match alone, saying we get a crowd of 55k, at £2.40p per tickets they'll take in £132000. Should cover their costs!
Ticketmaster and its kind are not out to make friends. One could say a bunch of pricks

Agreed, daylight robbery. The playoff weekend must be Christmas for them. I think the only team not using their service is Shef W.

Don''t be surprised if newish Wembley sucks the life out of the atmosphere. I flew in for the Conference PlayOff Final versus York for my first visit there. The atmosphere wasn't great at all despite us having 40k or whatever it was. All in the lower tier around 3/4 of the ground the acoustics and sound delays with the distance our fans were apart made it impossible to get anything going. Could also be cos we lost but hey

What's the record attendance for a L2 Play off final? I recall it being Bristol Rovers and maybe just over 60k?

Interesting fact brought up on our official site about Wembley. Despite everyone going on about all the 'open spaces' and 'big pitch' for players... the dimensions of the pitch are exactly the same as at Home Park. Considering our home form this season, I'm not sure if that's an advantage or not!

Side note that only Shef Weds out of all the playoff final teams have managed to sell more than us! Top effort.

The more the better... I will gather all those sweet janner tears and use them to drown the residents of Swilly.

One of the main reasons I really don't want to lose on Monday is the thought of playing you lot another 2 times at least. The rivalry has become boring again and needs the natural gap between us for another 10 or so years before you have a good patch or we have a bad one to make your cup finals vaguely interesting again.

You don't want to play us because we've done the double over you twice in the past 3 seasons. You won't win on Monday, so we'll see you next season and thanks in advance for the points.

I think the money for each team is less than estimated above.

of 100 %
- Wembley hire + costs
- 50% of what's left for the FL
- 25% of what's left for each team
therefore £28 * 60k tickets = £1.68m
don't know what Wembley costs ? - call it £680k
= £1.00m left
=500k for FL
=250k for each team - all depending what the wembley cut is . . . .

I would snap your arm off for that £250k now!

All money that the club didn't budget for as we always budget for being drawn away in each cup and never progressing past 1st round.

Monday is a celebration for all Wimbledon fans and their is seriously no pressure on us. We never expected to be 90 mins away from League 1 and if we go up it will be a new experience and if we stay in League 2, it will be with a better chance of attracting players because of the extra money and belief that we can challenge for the playoffs.

Yep I was about to say the calculations are miles off as Wembley stadium take a big cut themselves for hosting the event and the stadium overheads, our chief exec has written an article in the local press saying it'll be a nice bonus but certainly not 'life changing'

That £500k for the FL - is that split between the 22 other clubs in the division? Used to be my gripe in our Conference days that essentially 30,000 Luton fans at Wembley were bankrolling other clubs.

Yeah it is split equally between the other clubs. Crikey renting Wembley out for a day is a bit expensive! Especially when you consider the rate for the Olympic stadium that West Ham have just secured. Disgrace!

Sounds about right, I reckon 250-280k then depending on attendance, I think the Wycombe chairman said last year they got something like 160k after all was settled, so considering the difference between the crowds it sounds about right.

Final count for Argyle tickets is 34,023. Not sure about Wimbledon tho, prob around 21000.

Safe journey everyone. Came up on Sunday so resonanbly straight forward. Saw a few Dons and a load of Argyle walking around Wembley, all in good spirits.
