I think ours is still Jack Hobbs in 2005. Came on for the final couple of minutes at home to Bristol Rovers, then sold him to Liverpool for £750k a few days later IIRC.

Ended up having a decent career but picked up quite a few lengthy injuries.

Someone worked out that at the start of the game Newport had players with more appearances for Argo than those in our starting eleven. Doubt that has happened much, if ever. The only seasoned pros were our back up keeper, a CB returning from 3 match suspension and a young loaner with his first start. The next oldest was probably twenty, we had a lot of teenagers play. Our senior striker had three sub appearances.

Yes it is Standard practise when all clubs come out of Administration they have to settle all debt agreed by the Administrators in 24 months or face further sanctions

I am sure that you were not trying to be duplicitous, but someone who did not know the deal might think the word “agreed” implied Bolton were being altruistic. But we both know a) that is not the case and b) the existing rules are a nonsense. What I don’t understand is why any Government does not bring in a Statute to cut this loophole. Maybe an accountant can explain why?

We had a virtual fans forum tonight focusing on financial issues and the accounts introduced last week. Lots of detail, but one things stands out. The budget for this season is based on average home crowds of 11,500 per home match. This strikes me as surprisingly high. We are having our highest number of fans since about 2007/8 and we are probably averaging 11,200/11,300. There are big games to come and if we stay around the top six turnout will be relatively large, but we have a fair bit of work still to do to get on budget.

Few non league players too. People are starting to ask a few questions. I have felt like shit since my second jab 6 months ago. No energy, can’t run as fast and lift as much. Always tired. Does make you wonder if it’s connected.
