Peter Swann has written off £11,000,000 of debt for Scunny. Haha ELEVEN FUCKING MILLION WTF. I thought we were a shitshow for going down to the Conference for the second time in a decade but imagine spending ELEVEN MILLION POUNDS you don't have and still being 20th in League Two. At least we're going down for free.

This club could be in a really bad way very soon. If we get relegated next season I am not sure we will ever return.

I have no idea what Swann's intentions are but the minute he wants to sell it's going to get ugly.

Stan Collymore’s offer of help lasted less than a week and after a rubbish statement by Ron Martin he has said he’s out because he’s a 50 year old man that doesn’t need to be chasing around a football club. If he can’t get past one statement then there was never a serious offer of help in the first place!

Where's his famous dogged determination?

He used to need about 5 chances to score for us. We used to count his attempts to see if he was due a goal. Once missed over 40 1 on 1s on the run. He found his happy place at Tranmere but now fully understands the meaning of 'the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the tracks' i reckon.
Not really true to be honest.

He was very raw when he first arrived from Forest Green, but his finishing had improved massively by the time he left in 2019, largely due to the work of Mellon and the coaching staff. You don't score thirty plus goals in a season at any level if you are spurning that proportion of chances.

I don't blame him for moving to Ipswich either. They trebled his wages and it was impossible for him to turn down that kind of money, having spent most of his career in non-league.

A cracking player who scored the most important goal in our history, and I would have him back here in a heartbeat.

Sounds like Ollie's investment in us. Like Aunties on Facebook. Completely unaware that there is the option to not be sounding off and making themselves look like absolute dickheads.

Is it just the stadium or is it the car park and surrounding land as well?

I wasn't sure it was worth £11m but past valuations suggest it's probably not too far off.

It's everything, he owns it all now.

The land is worth quite a lot, assuming due to it's location next to the motorway.

It wasn't criticism. If you check most strikers goal to shot ratio he actually does very well.

You could argue it was Grimsby's limp start to the season that cost them, which at least makes a change from the premature ejaculation that used to happen in August.

Seriously though, 12th placed budget surprises me looking at their squad. Can't really see where that moneys gone.

I'm assuming it was much lower, but that Paul Hurst coming in and bringing in a load of new players is what's bumped us up. The one bit of solace we can take from that statement is this...

"We have paid all of our VAT, PAYE and NI and are completely up to date with these payments. We have not applied for any EFL loan monies. This is in contrast to many League 2 clubs who have deferred the tax payments and others who in addition have had to take up loans. We will complete the financial year with a healthy bank balance to cover expenditure over the summer and to start rebuilding the squad. We will also have the benefit of the parachute payment to assist in this."

We played it safe by gambling on finishing 22nd and it backfired. But still, we go down in fairly decent financial shape by the sounds of it.

Sounds the same as what we were saying the other week, only our gamble has just about paid off. Hopefully we can see some benefit of that next season.

We've confirmed in a board statement that we had the 12th highest budget this season in League Two.

Whoever heard of a club claiming to have a top-half budget? Maybe that's why you went down, get with the programme and start claiming that your budget is 'bottom six for this level' like everyone else does and maybe you'll not sign so many duds.

I don't think 12th is bad considering we brought in about 10/11 players in Jan.

Not great if true, especially after the incident in the Tranmere v Morecambe game earlier this season.

A points deduction is the only fair punishment in such circumstances...
