We could do the double over Man United
United are in with a slight chance at 4th still. Whereas we're on an end of season piss up. A host of sides just below United will be willing us on, including Southampton, but I can't see us doing them a favour unfortunately.

I can only see one result here, and it doesn't include us upsetting the odds.

Still, our work was done a long time ago, it's really shown in our last few performances, but everyone in our patched up injury prone squad is so knackered they need and deserve this summer break.

We'll probably lose 2-0, both goals from set pieces but the longer we can frustrate the crowd and get them on Van Gaal(s back the better chance we may have.

Think United will close the season with a win but don't think that it'll be enough to get them 4th

I won't be able to watch the match, but 3-1 to Man U. You can quote me on that if I'm right.

Old Trafford is being evacuated - reports suggest it looks like a red Etihad in there.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.

How can they re-schedule this? :pond:
United play in the cup final on Saturday and all the players are waiting to bugger off to their summer holidays.

Tuesday/Wednesday is probably their best bet.

I don't think they should bother. Nothing riding on it if City win, even less if Palace don't cause an upset next weekend. Nothing to gain from playing it now.

The result of the match will at least have repercussions on the Europa League places, though.

5th and 6th qualify for the Europa League. 5th go into the main draw while 6th have to qualify. But if Man U win the cup, both go straight into the main draw with 7th having to qualify. QED it's pointless if Man U win the cup.

Therefore my revised suggestion is to pencil it in for Wednesday week then not to bother if Man U win the cup.
