Our game is a Friday due to Stoke being at home on the Saturday (one of the rare occasions the fixture computer cant split us away/home as per usual) and due to the rules the FL club has to move the game. Think we have two this year with Shrewsbury set to move unless Stoke get a Sunday or Monday TV game.

I always forget that the two stadiums are so close together. Has the weather improved? I'd like to think we have a chance of picking a result of some sort. I know your home form was excellent earlier in the season.

Water may be the issue as been a lot of rain in the last couple of days on top of the water from the snow that caused the issue on Saturday so will likely depend if anymore forecast.

We've only lost 3 at home but 2 of them in the last 3... that said the side is potentially going to be very different from those defeats with JJ Hooper now back of loan, Anton Forrester fit, Chris Eagles and Callum Guy signing, Alnwick and Streete potentially injured so a youth keeper possibly making a debut and likely another couple more additions this week... we are pretty much over hauling our squad after the failings under Bruno so I don't really know what to expect from us at the moment!

Turns out the players were massively unfit under Bruno as Brown did tests on them so has had them working on that at St Georges which may boost us.

I am just glad you won at the weekend, any Vale fan would tell you there would be only one outcome if you were playing us after not winning months! Happens every time!

Tough game at Bradford. I guess they're probably still sore after the play-offs so will be desperate to beat us. We've been unchanged in 7 matches over Christmas, and against Charlton I think we just began to run out of steam a bit. Maybe 1 or 2 changes to freshen us up.

Hoping for a draw to keep the unbeaten run going, but I suspect we'll lose this one by a couple. 3-1 Bradford.

I fear that the Blades will bounce back in no uncertain terms, and it will be business as usual away from home for us.

4-0 with a Billy Sharp hattrick

We're terrible and Swindon don't seem too good either. I predict a 5-5 with lots of Barcelona esque tiki-taka football. Nothing surprises me with Posh.

Rochdale 3 - 0 Oxford. Dale to be by far the better team and deserve the result. Really impressed with them.

The game v Shrewsbury scheduled on Saturday 18th is unlikely to be moved to the Friday 17th due to a full fixture list on the Tuesday 14th. It might get moved to Sunday though?

Hoping the momentum from an away win v Bolton will see us beat Posh. Immediate impact made by the new players particularly Gladwin and Colkett.

Think we can edge it 2-1.

Not seen any reference anywhere to this one being some sort of 'revenge' match - the PO's were an odd one last season, at no point in the season did we play particularly well but a decent run of 1-0's after Christmas and we somehow finished in the top 6, in the end it just spiced up the end of the year but we were never good enough to go up.

For Saturday, would take a draw. We still don't look like we're going to score enough and defensively we don't look as strong as early in the season, McCall will probably go big on height and start Hanson and McArdle. 1-1

Not just the FL club it's whichever club is in the lower division has to change. At the moment obviously if Wendy and the Blades are scheduled to be at home on the same day we have to move, obviously given that both Sheffield clubs have had periods of ascendancy it varies from time to time. In the case of Stoke it would seem that Vale would always have to move their match time

I'd like to think so. Not bothered about who scores to be honest.
Last Saturday our shocking result against Walsall was only softened by 4 of the top 5 losing, with Bolton being the biggest failure so to speak. Obviously we got hammered but we still have a 6 point lead and a better goal difference than Bolton. In respect of goal difference we were rapidly closing the gap on Scunny but a -3 score line hasn't helped us.
Fans are balanced and philosophical after the Walsall result i.e. " you can't win every game" but anything other than a win against the Gills, irrespective of the score may see the mood music change

Blades 2-0

Personally I think you're looking at the Play Offs at best to be honest

We were told it is because the Premier League pay each club solidarity payments or whatever they are so have to move as part of the agreement. Doesn't bother me personally as can make night games and gives me the full weekend with the kids! but imagine it is frustrating if you can only make Saturdays.

We will lose at Rochdale and won't score. In recent(ish) seasons 2012/13 and 2013/14 we lost 0-2 and 0-3 respectively. Our record before that wasn't great either although we managed to beat them 1-0 in our relegation year to the Conference (How the hell did Rochdale concede a goal that was scored by Barry Quinn?!).

We've got a very tough game against a rapidly improving Charlton side. They seemed to have had our number in the league and FA Cup games this season, seeming to know how we play and stopping it quite easily. A win here would be huge for us.

Don't think you'll see anyone saying otherwise if they're being honest, we just don't score enough

I dont think its fair that vale have to move there game but stoke dont. When we move games it usually effects the gate so instead of getting 5k you could end up with 3500 there whereas every stoke game no matter when its played is sold out.

That's not true Wednesday had to play on a Friday or Sunday last season I can't remember the game but it happened. It gets taken in turns between us

RefWatch; Ref for Chesterfield game (played 4 times at Saltergate/Proact since '79; lost 2-0 three times & drew one 0-0) is Eddie Ilderton, 47, from Newcastle. FL ref since 2002 & works as a cop in Nottingham. Very laid back, he took charge of our 2-2 draw with Accy in the play off second leg in May, and only gave Fuller a yellow for his surgery-inducing challenge on poor Boco which left his teeth scattered all over Lancashire. Only other time he reffed us was against Spireites - 2-0 loss at the Proact in '13 (4Y).
Reffed Chesterfield 10 times (W3 -D3-L4), most recently the 1-1 home draw with Blackpool in March last year (2Y 1R). Hates the scum. Reffed them once against Carlisle & they lost. Hates them. In 5 games this season (he was injured for months) he's given 13Y & 2R - average.

AnagramWatch; Eddie Ilderton = Dire Lot Indeed.
KettleWatch; Swindon v Peterborough. Second Posh game in a week for Trev, he was 4OF for the 5-1 hammering by Bury on Sat.
DeadManWatch; Joethegill, stay in & wash your hair on Tuesday, cos Womble lover Darren is coming to the Priestfield for his 3rd Wombles game this season. Reffed Gills 14 times (9 at home); W6 D3 L6, most recently the 3-2 away win at Shrews last August (2Y).

Away hoodoo cleansed this weekend. Walsall put to the sword in a dominant 4-1 thrashing. Couple for Taylor, 1 for Lines and a first goal for J-Part.( I'm making this a thing)

Goodness knows what'll happen on Saturday. Elliott is carrying an injury (apparently) which is why he was subbed last night. Taylor left the ground on crutches after an unpunished challenge. Barnett is as much use as a chocolate teapot, and Robinson (I guess) will be serving a ban.

We do seem to have your card marked after the last two games but by all accounts, 3-1 didn't reflect the FA Cup game and most Charlton fans are still adamant that you're the best side at The Valley this season despite that scoreline and we have changed manager since those two games.

Going to be a tough game, made even tougher with the loss of Josh Magennis for a month, we've no-one else in the squad who make a nuisance of themselves up top in the same way he does.

Watt made a little cameo on Saturday so will hopefully see a bit more of him and hopefully Ricky Holmes will have some involvement.

We are improving under Robinson no doubt so no reason we can't win so will go with my heart and say we nick a 2-1 win.

Scrap that.

Robinson had a press conference this morning and said we've got no fit/available centre backs basically. Roger Johnson will be playing and doesn't sound like Holmes is ready yet, we're in trouble.
