Was that meant literally or metaphorically or both?

Well I had posted before the game and at half time, so you can make your own conclusions.

To be fair, Chester did better in the second half, with a mix of us dropping our game and Chester raising ours they had a pretty good 10/20 minutes. It was just an abhorrent first half that the damage was already done.

The thing I took from yesterday was that people come to Rovers often and really want to get a result, when a team comes and is already in summer holiday mode and don't match up that enthusiasm we tend to finally score regularly. You could really tell Chester were ready for the season to end.

Whoever the fucker is that runs over swinging punches is gonna get a nice early end of season holiday after watching that!

Is that B2TF in the background 'Yuuurkshure, Yuuurkshure', classy as fuck!!
:ffs: :shut:
Good call but it's not me, although the bloke who filmed it must have been somewhere near to me. :fing:

By the way it's being reported that the Mickey Mouse Macclesfield players continued the dispute into the players lounge. Classy.

Kicked off at 9.00pm. 1-0 Chester, Tony Dinning penalty iirc.Never heard anymore about that either.
One of the most dodgy, non-existent penalty you've ever seen in your life as well.

Pretty sure we had a late goal disallowed, too.

Strange thing is you're right. Nobody knows why the penalty was awarded, but even more strangely no Lincoln players protested.

AFC Telford v Kidderminster
Telford could be relegated if they fail to win, but all Alfreton need is a point at Wrexham to guarantee their relegation.
Barnet v Nuneaton
Barnet need a win against Nuneaton to go back on top of the Conference table and keep the pressure on Bristol Rovers and Grimsby.
Eastleigh v Dover
With FGR losing yesterday an Eastleigh win would put them in a great position for that final playoff spot as they have a game in hand on FGR and Woking.
Grimsby v Gateshead
Grimsby need a win against Gateshead to keep in the title hunt. And with Gateshead poor form recently Grimsby should be able to win.
Torquay v Dartford
A bit of a nothing game with the chance of Dartford being relegated if Alfreton win and Dartford lose.
Woking v Welling
Woking can jump into the playoffs with a win at lowly Welling.
Wrexham v Alfreton
Alfreton can pretty much secure their place in the Conference for next season with a win at Wrexham.

Well, seems that the FGR lot have gone AWOL. Not surprising after their bunch of thugs was embarrassed on national TV. After the most ludicrous offside goal I've seen for a long time FGR offered nothing in what should have been a routine win for them given our form.

After going 3-1 down all they wanted to do was kick us off the pitch, prime culprits were Clough, Bennett, Racine and of course Fat c*** Parkin. How the ref kept his cards in his pocket I don't know, he must of forgot his pencil. Bennett was the worst, sly kicks off the ball when it was long gone. I though FGR were better than that. Talking to some of the their fans walking out they were embarrassed by it too, but reckon since Sinclair has got injured they've been dogshite. Season over for them?

Hardly AWOL, seeing as the FGR lot are me and Chris, guess we have better things to do on a Saturday without the distraction of football.

I don't think you can blame us for the performance of our players, or a linesman not giving offside when the goal was scored...to be fair I was in the main stand near the away dug out so hardly a position to see whether it was offside or not. Most of us are hacked off by the way the team plays, particularly of late, but what do you expect from a manager who learned his trade as an assistant to Pulis when he was at Stoke. You are right about missing Sinclair, he is the one player who holds together the midfield, great controller of the ball and possibly the most influential player we have had in several seasons. Since he has been injured we have resorted to lobbing the ball over the top, which is largely dreadful to watch and mostly ineffective. Season over, not quite, we are now relying on others to slip up or not take full advantage of games in hand...that said, I now expect Woking and Eastleigh to finish above us.

Pretty impressive considering we're mid-table and our season was over three weeks ago.

It's getting to the point where I'm feeling a bit sorry for Woking fans...

I'm sure they'll turn it around ;)

Theres sticking up for someone and theres being a fucking idiot. Deserves everything he gets which should be more than 4 games. He's a footballer not a boxer which this video just proves even more especially when he falls over at the end.
Oh I totally agree, absolute balloon going that mental. Having been in similar situations when I've played its not exactly surprise to see someone do it after seeing their mate head butted.

Dont condone any of it, just needs to accept everything that comes his way. Smith should be getting just as punished though.

3-0 We have been awful. We seem to be having one of our shit days.

Bit weird given your form, maybe Wrexham are going to have a good end to the season then?

Time wasting. Hoofball everywhere. Nervous players and fans. Hitting the post yet AGAIN.

The one time we keep the ball on the floor we hit the post!

Barnet and Grimsby are getting my hopes up to dropping points only to tear them back down late on, I reckon.

1st half assessment -- absolute dogshit.
Ourselves, Gateshead, and the joke of a referee.
Lit up by a fantastic finish from their Tony Daley lookalke, allowed to waltz through our defence as no one dare put a tackle in due to a shocking referee.
Gateshead as usual are hitting the deck constantly but we are playing like strangers.
Time to prove yourself Mr. Hurst with a plan B, because if not we are going nowhere today.
