Oh on the Pipe/Jennings thing, apparently the ref didn't turn up until 45min after KO and both teams were pissed off and wanted to cancel the game. Plus the ref was just some yokel who only refereed local leagues. Bath threw in a couple of bad tackles, our guys reacted badly with a few pushes and shoves that even in a normal National League game would have been yellows at best (but because he was completely out of his depth, he sent our guys off).

Sounds a completely accurate and unbiased record of events. :ffs:

Macclesfield at home for us today, its a game where anything but a win will be dropped points but it will not be an easy game - Macclesfield kept 2 clean sheets against us last season and don't have a bad record against us over the years so we will need to be on form to get the win today.

Really disappointing performance last night. Similar to the games against Cheltenham and Braintree, there were times we had a lot of the ball but we just couldn't create anything in the final third before defensive mistakes cost us. I haven't watched it back but a few on our forum are saying Cole was at fault for the first.

Three defeats in a row, four points from a possible 18 isn't good. The injuries are starting to tell. Fortunately we now go in to Southport (H), Halifax (A) and Torquay (H) so there's a chance to get a decent number of points.

Holding the ball in the corner should be given as obstruction. Can't stand it.

Except when Norwood and Styche did it at Kiddy a couple of seasons ago, denying the home team the ball for about four minutes of time added on, to secure us a 1-0 win.

Tactical genius when it is done by your own team, infuriating when it is your opponent, some you win...some you lose!

Even more infuriating when you blatantly should do it in a game you are hanging on to, but don't and go on to lose.

Are you trying to wind me up here DSL, you list the FA Cup ties and fail to include the biggest game of the round... Of course it's Deeping Rangers vs AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
I fought the case for the inclusion of Rushden & Diamonds games in the preview for two consecutive weeks earlier, but received no support from your end so you can carry on whining as far as I'm concerned!

Need to win or Hurst will be in big big trouble. It's alright stumbling past the first 10 games but now we need to start showing some serious intent. There's no excuse to be going to Southport and not winning.

Fully fit squad by all accounts, too. Not been an easy place or opposition for us over the past few years though. Plenty of scrappy matches. I think we're going back to a late Liam Hearn winner in 11/12 for our last win there. I'd be very happy with three points.

My activity on the site is really up and down so I must have missed it! I appreciate the support for inclusion, I'm trying to run a service here, if the person making the match thread doesn't care to do so then I need to inform the populace that the AFC Rushden & Diamonds game is clearly the most important match of the particular date. It's just facts, no whining.

Anyone's guess what formation we're playing. Looks like 3-5-2/5-3-2 given that we're playing 3 CB's and got Hearn in with Rhead.

Unless we're putting Beevers in midfield, which I doubt.

What's happened to Power? Our midfield looks incredibly unbalanced.

Good shout. Didn't even realise he wasn't in there. Must have picked up an injury yesterday. Stanley's our only CM there, so perhaps we're putting round pegs in round holes and just going 5-1-4 with wing backs!

Weak bench, too. Average age of that must be 19.

Hipster Mills going with the no striker formation. Eastleigh have 7 of them.

Some Eastleogh fans have brought a bedsheets with " Thank you Richard Hill. Memorys (sic) Last Forever"

It's like they've been dumped. Plenty more fish in the sea chaps. Always darkest before the dawn etc.

I bet Lew will be over the moon with Hurst's team selection...

The blokes mental.

Who in their right mind has 14 goals sat on the bench? He cannot help himself and it's absolutely infuriating.

No other side does this, especially not a side going for the league.

Ah well, it's not my job he'll be costing if he does fuck it up (again)

Say what you will about you Lewis and your Hurst agenda, but I'm with you on this one. It seems like a third of our matches so far this season, we see the lineup and have to say something along the lines of "...this better work out, for Hurst's sake". Most productive striker partnership in the division fit and on the bench. Ffs.

Norwood has just had a two game ban implemented because of a behind closed doors thing at FGR last season. Yep. Nothing to do with Tranmere but we get the ban, mid season, great stuff.

Absolute shambles that, they've had about five months to sort it out. Even more irritating that Norwood missed our first few games through injury and is finally starting to find some form.

Moses Emmanuel scores for Bromley again. I bet he ends up at Peterborough in January.

2-0, Rhead header. Poor Geohaghon can't deal with him.
