Ridiculous that he assumed he could juggle being a full-time manager and business director.

Worried that Lincoln might actually become a threat in the league next season.
Next year (or one of several subsequent years) is Wrexhams year surely?

If you read the Non League Paper, every year is Wrexham's (and FGR's).

Notice that Nicky Law has been mentioned in a Lincolnshire echo article?

Your welcome to him IMO. Think he has run his race here and the club is crying out for change and some fresh ideas.

Nicky is patchy in the transfer market. For every good signing there has been several awful signings. He is character and a big weakeness Is a inability to "get players up for big games" and poor man management skills. He can play players everywhere and can alienate members of a squad. Once you have fallen out with him, thats it your out of the door.

Having said all of the above. When things are going his way he is excellent and will always be a legend here. He is a good ability to find raw young talent and mature them. The calibre of player to play here during his time here speaks for itself. I cant think of many other managers who would have attracted John Akinde to little old Alfreton the pit town like he did. Masterstroke!

Are you trolling? Akinde wasn't prolific at all before he joined Alfreton. By all means say that Law got the best out of him but it wasn't really a coup that he signed for you. Also at a time when there was money being pumped in. A better example of a 'coup' would be signing Scott Rendell on loan from Luton and then signing him permanently some months later.

No I am not trolling. I never said he was prolific. But his exploits in an Alfreton shirt and a Barnet one since shows it was masterstroke to attract such a player to Alfreton.

But he wasn't very good before he went to Alfreton. Surely it would have been easy to attract him? The gamble paid off.

Cant imagine it to be easy to move from a team like Portsmouth to a very small team like ourselves. Especially as he is based in London and every tine he came up to play for us we had to put him up in Hotel accommodation. Great piece of business by Nicky.

What's Richard Money up to?

All joking aside, I wouldn't say no. He'd do well with a side not expecting automatic promotion.

Money is a prick, but I wouldn't say no to him either.

Crikey lincoln may snap up richard money before palios even realises we need a change

Halle-fucking-lujah.

No clue as to who is next. Seeing Richard Money fall out with our more moronic fans would be superb though, popcorn at the ready.

There's no way Cowley will come this far north.
I think you can all cross Richard Money off your lists for a while. He's settled into an academy director job in the US, which probably better suits his temperament (and pocket) than another manager stint in the UK.

I would be very pleased if you considered Mark Roberts but suspect that Ireland/Posh connections could be a more useful starting point.

That said, I reckon that Bimmo would be the perfect fit but he'd probably have more sense than move from Southend.

Bimmo applied for the job before (and also as a duo with someone else, who's name escapes me).

I don't think we'll really start hearing any concrete news on this for another week or so. We'll have the usual 'spot the manager in the stands' game on Saturday!

Played few times for Portsmouth and then got released by them. Good job the gamble paid off considering the amount of money you paid for him, not that it actually mattered in any way in the long-run for your football club.

You're obsession with DSL and everything he posts really is boring.

Law spotted potential, got the best out of him = good signing. I'd say you're logic was flawed but you're just getting all excited about baiting DSL.

Shortlist down to 6 by the end of the week, first round of interviews starting on Monday.

There's not even been a rumour of a potential favourite from anyone/who's in the running.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but Steve Thompson's record stands the test of time, and would walk over hot coals for the Lincoln job.

One or two rumours but know one really has any indication who any of the potential managers may be (other than Preece)
