Likewise to a point, although released lists have to be confirmed 2nd week of May I think so we could do with someone in before then. Mind you, who's out of contract you'd miss?! We've got no Miller, Tomlinson, Newton types out of contract this season.

If someone we're after is a number 1 target or even a couple of managers and are involved in the PO's then fair enough. I hope that's the case because the names bandied about seems to sum up the calibre of the applicants. How Sinclair (apparently) and King have had/are having interviews is anyone's guess.

I hope he is right otherwise banter and vitals will go into meltdown if we appoint a King or a Sinclair. When you hear names like that banded about maybe Billy Heath at North Ferriby wouldn't be a bad option!

The backroom shuffle begins (not that we have many!). GK coach David Preece leaves. Whether that's due to an incoming manager remains to be seen but it could be for a number of reasons.

1) It was David's choice i.e. he does a lot of media work and it choosing to do that or has another coaching role lined up closer to home
2) New guy wants his own GK coach
3) Having to sacrifice a GK coach to part pay for the assistant of an outside appointment (every manager we've appointed down here has had to work with Grant Brown)
4) Or the option is keep Preece or Brown

I'm hoping it's not 4) because the wrong decision has been made in that case.

Well, rumour has it that assistant manager Grant Brown has also been shown the door now, at the end of his deal.

That leaves us with a physio, and for the first time in many, many years (possibly KA's stint in 2002/03) we'll seemingly have a completely new management/backroom team.
