I'm genuinely not going at all next season if Preece is appointed. We need change, not a continuation of the same regime.

I like Preece, and I hope he sticks around because he's obviously an intelligent guy, but I'd rather we didn't risk him as a manager.

For me, we need someone outside the Club, someone who is allowed to bring their own assistant in and a management team who are allowed to make the final decision on Brown and Preece (I'd keep Preece).

Preece would be a huge risk so am hoping the board see sense and are prepared to splash the cash for once to get the right man/men into the club. Like Luke I would like to keep Preece in some form or other but definitely not as manager.

Frank Sinclair has applied (lol) as has our GK Coach David Preece (which we knew prior to today). Steve Thompson was told not to bother by all accounts.

Seems that Billy Heath of North Ferriby has an interview and Danny Cowley of Braintree is also being mentioned but no confirmation on whether the latter has applied/we've approached Braintree/has an interview.

Cowley is the outstanding choice, and we should go full throttle to capture him should Braintree miss out on fifth place.

Heath, meh, but I guess you can't argue with an FA Trophy and two play-off finishes. Surprising he's applied given the animosity of after the Trophy tie two years ago, he had some choice words for our board of directors.

I don't know why Heath would be that bad, certainly not compared to some of the others that have been mentioned. Bobs latest interview was so typical of the usual Bob interviews, full of contradictions and back tracking! Suffice to say that it sounds as though Heath seems to be a strong candidate for the job (or maybe not!) and Preece won't be in the final reckoning, Bignot isn't in the frame as he hasn't applied or we haven't approached them either.

I've seen very, very little of them highlights wise, but they seemed just to bully teams and be a little OTT physically as well as long ball.
