2-1. Ridiculous free kick from Luke Young.

We’ve fallen apart in the second half. Some terrible defending for all of their goals this half (although their 2nd was a very fine strike).

Game of two halves. Hartlepool controlled the first, we had the better of the second. Think a point would have been fair, but we switched off at the end and allowed a free header for Pools to seal the points.

We definitely need to improve if we're going to avoid another dog fight this season.

Phew that was a rotten second half from us but glad to finally win an opening day fixture.

We were the better side bar first 20 mins of the 2nd half. Worthy winners but stuff to work on.

Shakey first 20 minutes for us at Plainmoor but dominated the game after that. Couldn't make our chances count, though, and got our pockets picked right at the end. Gutted.

Stockport County.
Fair play to Torquay, they defended brilliantly some great blocks and came on strong near the end on the counter attack and caught us with one.

We played pretty well in spells and were the better side over the course of the game but we lacked a bit of composure in the final third and for me we lack a touch of pace up front to hit a team quickly when they're disorganised. We've still got Williams, Croasdale, Southam-Hales to come into the 16.

Classic Ardley away performance where we seem to actively be trying to get Doyle on the ball on the edge of our own box rather than Roberts and Boldewijn on the edge of theirs.

Biggest thing holding us back is Ardley’s negative attitude to games like this,

On reflection, you're probably right as Pools could have been out of sight by HT. Frustrating though, as I felt the winner came out of nothing after a spell of pressure from us.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Awful game. We won though, that's about as much as can be said. Tshimanga was anonymous. Harris and Kellerher were good for us, as was Lainton in goal to keep us in it early on.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney were both tuned in. They better have paid the £20 option.

I thought we'd re-grouped a bit after your goal and started to get on the front foot a bit more but we weren't creating much. Mate of mine where I work is a massive Aldershot fan, top man. All the best to you too.

It could well be a long season for us. Our fitness, cohesion and quality of crossing are all well below the necessary standard.

Great start for the supposed top two! Dover only announced 3 of their starting XI had signed an hour before the game!

Alty and Barnet at home in our (Notts’) next two, anything other than 6 points and the knives will be out!

I don't think I've ever seen an opposition team clap a team off after beating them 1-0 with a last minute goal.

It didn't happen today either to be honest but maybe it could have done. None of you watched it and I am trying to hack into the Torquay streaming service as we speak to delete all evidence.

Who's meant to be good this season? Is a 2–0 win against the Dagenham good?

He's under pressure I think. It's not a rogue result, we've been sluggish throughout pre season with a squad weaker than last season. Only saw about 25 mins second half but it's enough to see all our weaknesses against a scratch Dover team.

Apparently so.
Have scarcely been following things as whenever I do, the situation's changed the next week. If so then I'm not sure how much they've been overhyped ahead of this season, as they were very tame this afternoon.

Did anyone else have a robotic cameraman too? Meant that we got footage of our own goalkeeper at the other end of the pitch while the penalty was being put away.

So we get a penalty in the last minute of the half. Players are getting booked, others getting treatment but finally we're ready, he starts his run up and the automatic camera decides to pan away to the centre circle. Still don't know if we scored..... :ffs:

Our stream didn't work for the first 8 minutes or so but quality-wise no real complaints other than the camera panning away as Summerfield scored the penalty lol. Speaking of which, he was absolutely exceptional. And to think some of our fans think Clarke should retire?! He had McCallum in his back pocket all game. Very good performance from us. Pleasantly surprised following some poor pre-season performances.

The added crowd noise at Kings Lynn/Yeovil makes it sound like 20 thousand people are in attendance

Comfortable 3-0 win for Sutton in the end. Probably unlucky not to have scored more.

It's pretty obvious where King's Lynn see their main threat comimg from. Leadbitter has to be on his game here.

We looked every inch a team who have a lot of work to do, looked like strangers at times. That said Boreham Wood didn't really create anything, bar their goal and what was either a terrible effort by Tshimanga or an unbelievable save from Lainton, early on. We scored two great goals and Vassell missed an easy chance.

Sorba Thomas looked the best player on the pitch, particularly in the first half.
