Classic Ardley away performance where we seem to actively be trying to get Doyle on the ball on the edge of our own box rather than Roberts and Boldewijn on the edge of theirs.

Biggest thing holding us back is Ardley’s negative attitude to games like this,
Carbon copy at Daggers. We’ve had a negative attitude on the road for years. Will achieve nothing in this league until that changes.

Yes camera was same at ours, turd at times but the picture was good.

Felt very unnatural to me regardless, as it seemed to pan segment-by-segment across the pitch rather than having a looser quality. I think natural, non-league human error with the tripod going up and down a little erratically beats it whirring into a handful of fixed positions unfeelingly. #AMF

Great start for the supposed top two! Dover only announced 3 of their starting XI had signed an hour before the game!

Alty and Barnet at home in our (Notts’) next two, anything other than 6 points and the knives will be out!

Everyone moaning about the stream, but I don’t think we missed much. I have no idea what Ardley is trying to do, and I don’t think he does either.

We looked every inch a team who have a lot of work to do, looked like strangers at times. That said Boreham Wood didn't really create anything, bar their goal and what was either a terrible effort by Tshimanga or an unbelievable save from Lainton, early on. We scored two great goals and Vassell missed an easy chance.

Sorba Thomas looked the best player on the pitch, particularly in the first half.
We looked AWESOME. :woo:

Alty 0 Weymouth 0 - Conditions won. Happy with a point, we never win first game of season. Both teams deserve credit for playing in that, more like water polo. Same ref postponed our game at Spennymoor in february 30mins before KO when the pitch was better than this,.. he clearly learnt his lesson.
Live stream and quality was mint.

Robbed of a win by the officials but that's standard for this league. We weren't great and we didn't lose on BT so i'll take it I suppose.

Absolute dog shit from us today, not sure the manager knows how to fit the players we have into a working formation, to not score with the players we have his a joke to be fair. Halifax were unlucky not to have a few more even though they weren’t that good we were just hideous.

Hopefully we can start off properly against Barnet on Tuesday.

Unless we can tighten up significantly in the next 3 days you probably will.

Shakey first 20 minutes for us at Plainmoor but dominated the game after that. Couldn't make our chances count, though, and got our pockets picked right at the end. Gutted.

Yeah no argument from me, you were the better side for most of the game. Our 3 subs perked us up though and it was much better from us in the last 10 minutes.

Considering our injuries and the 3 players who only joined yesterday I would have taken a point before kick off so delighted to steal the win.

Stream worked well I thought, a few teething problems with the replays but a decent start to the service.

"I just said they were three or four minutes away from me giving the players a team talk that said well done you've dug in and you've earned yourself a point on really tough afternoon.”

That post-match comment from Ardley pretty much summing up our problem. Much too modest, much too nice.

We really were bad. Eastleigh scored a cracking second goal and looked like a side two or three levels above us in every department.

Very worrying performance and defensively, we were utterly shambolic. I would be surprised if we didn’t suffer a similar rout on Tuesday at the hands of Paul McCallum.

Fitness and cohesion will (hopefully) come but based on today, some of our players look nowhere near good enough.

Shall we get the ‘Barnet are relegated’ thread started now?

The stream was good, the game was awful. Two very limited sides, admittedly hampered by the subaquatic pitch. Jordan Hulme was badly missed, I fear it could be a long and messy season.

Looked level to me on the slo-mo replay but it was definitely handball. Not sure you would have deserved the win.
The two players were level when the initial cross came in but it hit another Kings Lynn player and the two were then offside.

Also the width of Sutton's pitch is a disgrace.

yeah our fans have, as ever, gone way over the top in reacting to this game.

We were decent, but thought you looked miles off the pace - just no real energy to your play. Beyond the odd McCallum header from a set piece, not sure you created anything.

As I’ve said, thought we were decent and considering injuries meant we had two strikers who’ve not had any minutes all pre season then got to be happy.

Quietly optimistic this is a top half team with a chance of sneaking the play offs again - big test Tuesday against big spending Stockport

Spot on. When the King's Lynn player handled the ball to knock it on the other two were offside. Not unexpected though, as our manager said afterwards he complained about the standard of the officials in probably 36 out of 37 games last season as it was so poor. If it's shit for everyone at least it's consistent.
