Stockport County.
Chesterfield do look in great shape to be fair.

Solid win for us after 120 minutes on Wednesday and going down to Woking which isn't a particularly easy game. Good 3 points but we do need to get a run going so that Challinor can patch up Rusk's damage.

A very entertaining win for us against Torquay. Our team showed some real resilience and flair today.

Don't say that on here. You'll get lynched.

Well, here was me thinking Wrexham and Notts were BACK!

A lot of noise coming out of Notts since their famous victory against us, predictably turning into nothing but hot air

Horrible performance from us, offered nothing other than endless possession. Definitely feels like we’re stuck in this weird purgatory where we do this once every few games so that’s that, you’re finishing fourth or fifth.

Yeah, I don't think bigging Chesterfield up is ruling teams out. Sutton last year for example. And there's loads of the season left.

Chesterfield are the benchmark though. Rowe must be approaching 12 months soon and ultimatley a full seasons work and Chesterfield will have been the best side in that period by quite a distance.

Has there? I haven’t seen any Notts fan bigging us up, Chesterfield-style.

Results of the day to Stockport and Yeovil today. And Wealdstone.

Torquay got utterly battered by us today. After the first half I'm surprised they came back out.

They scored a brilliant free kick to amazingly get back into it.

But never have I been to a game in the last 3 seasons that I've seen Barnet so deserve the win.

Great following from the gulls only plus point

You got Jacob on ignore or summut fella?

Huh? I’d have had us to finish third or fourth a month ago, two weeks ago, same today. I think we’re the best team in the league on our day, but I’ve thought that the last two seasons as well and we’re no closer to cracking the consistency needed for the title. On that I started with Stockport and reckon I’ll stick with it.

No chance we're ever going up with that dinosaur in charge.

Best thing about Chesterfield going up will be that their fans will no longer be posting in here. Fuck me they're tedious.
Nah we’re not going up, won’t be long till we start playing some decent teams mate and then wheels will come off!

Since James Rowe’s appointment:

Halifax:
Played - 49
W - 27
D - 7
L - 15

Total pts: 88

Chesterfield:
Played - 48
W - 29
D - 11
L - 8

Total pts: 98

Clears that one up B2TF..

Impressive record from yourselves none the less though!

to be honest I don't think there's been much 'big up' of Chesterfield really, just a few saying we probably have the strongest squad in the league, whilst at the same time qualifying they don't mean strongest first 11. People just read what they want to read I guess.

there's a couple might just have to wear a comment or two today after calling certain teams shite then failing to beat the same teams today which does have a bitter irony about it to be fair!

Yeah I would say they are the benchmark at the moment. Not just because they're top but they win in all sorts of ways. That's not to say they can't or won't be caught, there's loads to play for but I can't see them falling off a cliff at all.

I see some of these teams that have ‘no pulse’ who we beat earlier on in season doing alright at the moment… *Cough* Eastleigh… Wealdstone… Kings Lynn *Cough* ;)
Handing Bromley 3 points there. They need no encouragement for a comeback that lot. Must have done that to rescue points over five times already this season.

Refreshing to listen to an honest assessment of a game from an opposition manager for once, credit to Ardley for that. Basically said the two goals we scored had nothing to do with being down to 10 men and was down to the quality of the attacking/ poor defending on the basics instead.

He seems quite confident for Tuesdays game against Grimsby mind!?
