We are a centre forward away from being a very dangerous side. Altrincham never got a look in. Why did Torquay let Waters go? 3 in 3

FT Kings Lynn 0-2 Chesterfield

Solid 3 points on the road after a brace from Tshimanga who’s started on fire and another clean sheet for the crap defence.

All seriousness though, was a favourable start on paper for us with the 3 games we’ve had but it’s one thing having favourable games and it’s another actually winning them!

Good to see that the lads who came in for those rested all did well, with Jak McCourt taking home the MOTM award. Tough game up next with Bromley visiting us Saturday

Was always likely to score goals in an attacking team. Still really surprised no L2 or even L1 took a chance on him. Guess they just couldn’t match this year’s NL spending power.
I’m annoyed we didn’t choose him instead of Quigley.

Are Part-Time Woking really part-time?

Serious doubts creeping in over this and their £100k a season wage budget.

Nah, they got new owners and went full time and were quite open their budget has increased. They've signed some good players. I put them 9th in my predictions.

At some point in the confirmed signings thread they definitely hailed as Going For It ™️

Early shout that.

Quigley looks exactly what we need. You can't jump the gun on a hamstring injury he picked up last match of pre-season. Most hamstrings take 3-4 weeks to full heal, there's no doubt we gambled on him Saturday and it didn't pay off.

We could do with another option though to cover his injury, Reid isn't the answer.

When Chesterfield lost that Asante, they went and got Rowe, Tshimanga etc.

Full check on their and Dagenham's financial accounts coming up. No other way to explain recent results other than secret money.

I’m just disappointed that no one launched themselves at Reynolds.
Mauro showed us what we missed.
Johnson was his usual 7/10 self.

Tbf Asante done his ACL which is normally circa 9 months out… slightly different situation to having a player out for 3-4 weeks

Can imagine choosing between working under Rowe or Rusk would be a really tough decision if you were in for him…
I'm not a Rusk fan at all and don't see him lasting here too long but I wouldn't put in the bracket of being bad enough as to where you'd choose Chesterfield over us if we'd gone for him. The aspirations of our club are only in its infancy with what is going to happen to the whole club here and if Rusk isnt up to it, we'll just get somebody else in. Players should never choose a club based on a manager at this level, that area of a club is too volatile both in terms of sackings and/or managers poached from bigger clubs.

We've done what we've needed to do these first few games. The most pleasing thing is 3 clean sheets I think. Next game will be a lot more of a test

What's surprising about Tshimanga is that no league club came in for him. At his age he was definitely worth a punt for anyone in League 2, and even League 1 you'd have thought.

Playing for a better team with a more proessive style, as he is now, he will get more than 19 goals this season. Asante who?

I wish I'd have snaffled up some of that 40/1 for Tshimanga top scorer now, I looked at it but just couldn't persuade myself that one of our players would end up top scorer in the league. I think the last one would have been Jack Lester in his first year? I mean Tshimanga still has a long way to go to be top scorer and there's so much competition, but 40/1 was a silly price.

A solid performance from us. Alty tried to park the bus and counter or set piece a goal out of nothing to no avail. Waters looks a real player. 3 in 3 and he looks dangerous every time he gets in behind.

Our midfield trio of Summerfield, Woods and Warburton were impressive. Have to agree with the comment above, Dinanga was dreadful for Alty.

Alty fans, why were some of your fans kicked out?

It's a great start for Chesterfield, as you still have to deal with these crap teams with their timewasting and game-spoiling nonsense from minute 1 and not get frustrated by it. It'll now give them loads of confidence when they come up against a team with a pulse.

They have Dover and Barnet to play in the next 3 games as well. Guaranteed 6 points there.

They could be over the hills and far away soon, lads.

Positives - 3 wins, 3 clean sheets, 3 goals for Tshimanga.

I don't think we have hit anywhere near top gear yet - Aldershot away wasn't a classic but we got the job done, today sounded pretty similar.

Winning games when you're not at your best is key to success so lets hope we find improved performances when we play tougher opposition. No complaints though and a perfect start results wise.

I’ve got a tenner on him at 40/1 and I think he’s probably overrated if anything. Absurd price - but you can get plenty on things in this league if you’re paying attention.

It’s been no secret that Dagenham have been American owned for the last couple of seasons and last year was a massive disappointment...We are far from poor

I'd like to think we might beat Chesterfield on the 11th, just for the comedy value of it
