Excuse my ignorance, but who is the other Simon than Rusk?
Simon Wilson is our Director of Football.

Simon Rusk is the Head Coach/Manager.

Rusk would be the first to get the bullet if it came to a decision on a change, that is how these structures come to pass really. Wilson isn't popular though, he was the most instrumental figure in Gannon's sacking. Wilson is well in with our owner though and I think our owner is on record as saying getting Wilson on board was one of the main reasons for him getting involved in the club so Wilson has many lives yet I'd imagine.

Grimsby Town vs us on Saturday sounds like it’s going to be a rip-roaring classic!

Even in your world of sub-par to mediocre windups, you can't be suggesting that training in isolation is an adequate replacement for training as a squad?

I don't know what your point is regarding me knowing what we were getting with Hurst? Yeah, of course I know. We've got the best manager in the division.

That must also be the third or fourth time you've mentioned or alluded to being above us and/or other BELTs in the last ten hours. Therefore, on behalf of Botherhood member club Grimsby Town, I'd like to offer our warmest congratulations to plucky non-Brotherhood minnows FC Halifax Town for being us above us on 1st September having played a match more than us. Well done my friend, enjoy being above us for what I assume is the first time in your club's short and completely non-league lifespan.
I mentioned it once. Learn to count chuck, I mean, you've no excuse really, what with having more fingers than everybody else. :ds:

Once...
Pfft! Notts, Wrexham, Grimsby, Southend, Stockport all flailing the the mighty Shaymen's fart trail. :fl: :fl: :fl: :fl: :fl:
...and twice...
It's really pathetic how yourselves, Notts, Wrexham and Stockport are fighting to out-do each other with the most excuses whenever you fail to win. It is what it is and you are where you are. :ds:
...I hedged my bets and assumed you'd have mentioned it a couple of more times elsewhere that I hadn't noticed as you generally repeat yourself a lot. Attention seekers generally do that.

Cheers Stocky.

I see the forum briefly broke again, no doubt because of a second huge brotherhood meeting in two days. Can anyone really argue that the NL isn’t bigger than L2 these days?

Gives him a little nudge while he’s jumping. Soft as anything, but that gets given way more often than it doesn’t.
Same player later in the highlights then put in one of worst displays of feigning an injury I’ve seen in quite a long while - notice Lew didn’t clip that up ;)

Certainly from that angle it doesn't look like anything. But I suspect it looks different from a different view.

Id be gutted by that decision if I was a Grimsby fan, mind.

The officials down here are absolutely WANK. There's nothing wrong with that goal at all and that centre half should be having words with himself, pathetic diving.

There was quite clearly an outstretched arm and a push in the back while he was in the air with both feet off the ground. Even if it’s only a small one as it was in this case that’s going to effect your header and balance and is a foul. He also desperately tries to land on his feet and stay up right if you actually watch the footage so accusing him of diving is just plain odd.

Now if you want to see someone cheating I suggest you look at around 3.28 for some unconvincing pretending to be hurt because the opposition are attacking our box -

Keane's reliable in the air, if there's no push then why does the simplest of headers drop down right next to him? It barely looks like a push from the camera angle but the ref is twenty yards behind & has the perfect angle to see it straight on. And I don't know what you're listening on but I can hear the whistle go right away, right as the ball leaves yer man's foot, not 'a whole second after'. That's why your #29 is already whinging before the ball crosses the line.

That dive at 3:28 is a good 'un, though. Reckon his first thought was to pretend there'd been contact on his head, then he decides to go for his belly for some reason, before realising the ball's still in play because nobody cares about him & he gets up and does a limp to save some face. Impressive.

With McAtee’s disallowed goal there following on from Wrexham’s disallowed goal the other night it looks like the refs in this league have finally received the Brotherhood memo.

Also I know it didn’t count but a lovely finish from McAtee.

So, NOT 3 or 4 times then. Thanks for confirming. :ds:

By the way, thanks for giving me all the attention I deserve. It's feels nice to be loved. I hope one day you'll find it too. :fl:

Such an obvious push that no players in shot, as well as the linesman (though I wouldn’t trust him), did anything.

Loved this from the Stockport Twitter though:

A whole second after the shot was taken
They were using Notts County time.

Refs always shit themselves in soft ones like that, you see it in every league from the Prem downwards.

Yep, from that angle that isn't a foul for me. What's your definition of a "little nudge" too, Jacob? That's a fair shoulder barge for me. I reiterate, from that angle...obviously the ref has seen it from a different angle

Not sure what video you two are both watching but the only clear outstretched arm from that angle is McAtee's right arm and that ref must be the fastest in the whole of English football if he's as close as you say he is, because he's in the Town half when the ball is played over. And sorry but Keane being reliable in the air is an absolute nonsense excuse. It's an awkward bounce that he doesn't deal with, his defensive attributes aren't a factor at all here. McAtee's done him fair and square going off that, for me.

And yep as Fish says what a finish from McAtee. Shame it was chalked off and Hurst was robbed of a perfect start.

It’s hard to tell from that angle, but I’m pretty sure McAtee puts a little bit of his left elbow into the defender’s back just as he’s about to head it. As I said, it’s a soft one, but I’d have been more surprised if it wasn’t given. Refs always give those in a defender’s favour.

Hmmmm, you might be right actually looking at it super slowed down. It is a tough one, the more I look at it to be honest. Difficult to not be biased as well haha. I retract all previous input, except for the bit about the ref as he won't be 20 yards away.

I’m not sure it should be a foul fwiw, defender’s already got himself off balance and in all sorts of trouble, McAtee doesn’t really need to give the ref any excuse to give a foul. But if that happens at 10 different games this weekend, it’ll get given as a foul in nine of them.

Nine times out ten, the ball isn't ending up in the back of the net from there in this division either, unfortunately. Encouraging that he's tucked that away though.

Yeah our commentators said the same, said he didn't need to give the ref an excuse he already got the better of him, but in his over eagerness to get the ball he nudges the defender. Ref is always going to give them in favour of the defender unfortunately, he can't tell how hard or soft he is nudges him.
