Really enjoyable game at Blundell Park today, I know it was only 1-0 but for most of the game it was just attack v defence although ironically we finally scored just after Weymouth had had their best spell of the game and were looking dangerous.
We should have won more comfortably but I’ll take any win to start the season and I loved the football we are trying to play, we have a much better team than I’d realised with the obvious exception of a goal scorer but some of our build up play was lovely to watch.
Also, how amazing was it to see Shaun Pearson back in a GTFC shirt, gave me goosebumps when I walked in and saw him out there in the warm up.
Nice touch from the club too giving everybody a free scarf upon entry, can’t imagine that happening if Scrooge Fenty was still at the reins.

Oh and nearly forgot the lad we got from Darlington, Sousa, what a fucking baller that lad is.

Whether we get the goal or not, it's been a good game and I think sums up what will be our season. A good solid outfit, but just lack that creative spark to unlock the favoured sides in the division. Might squeeze the play offs, but that's as far as it will go this year.....
