Can't be. Programme finishes in 18 mins. Unless they have condensed it.

Checked Monday aswell incase they decided to roll both games into one show but nothing there.

Well Stockport look a bit rubbish, some good players but not really a team. Whitfield looked a handful when he came on.

I liked Phil Browns oxblood shoes

Looks like there isnt one this week then. Typical after we've won away.
There was a handful of single goal "highlights" of about 4 important teams. Chesterfield on first obviously.

Liverpool vs Chelsea just a rerun of Notts vs Torquay from earlier. Two players down with cramp at once, Gary Johnson influencing the Barclays.

Good win indeed. I can see us winning/losing a lot of games with that sort of scoreline. We look decent going forwards but very dodgy at the back.
What has he said there? Nothing. Talk about hedging your bets. :dk: :ffs::fl::ds:

We started well but faded there big time. Southend looked terrible to me. I never felt they were actually going to score at any point despite us deciding we didn't actually want to have the ball ourselves in the second half.

Quigley is a blow for us, we don't have another striker like him at all. Reid up there alone is just never going to work.

That’s amazing for Woking, did they have an offer on or something?

I don’t think the red card did us any favours. They were causing us some trouble with the press when they had eleven men, but we got in behind it a few times and had by far the better chances. After that it was just try and find a way past ten men stood in the six yard box for most of it.

Blimey even Burchnall wasn’t as kind in his assessment as that.

We were pretty poor before the sending off, got worse after it, but then somewhat improved in the second half. Balls into the box were terrible and we lost so many 50/50s and second balls. Radio Devon apparently said we were a bit like Arsenal and that seems a fair comparison.

Top shithousery from Torquay, fair play to them. How they were allowed to get away with it is a different matter.

Edit; still fully expect us to beat Wrexham Galacticos on Monday.

I’ve spent years on here saying how rubbish we are.

For once it’s nice to say that we look very good. Going to stick my neck out and say based on the first 2 games, we will be challenging for the title. Firmly inserting us into the mix with the big, big spenders.
Don’t agree with this, we lack strength in depth in some areas and look vulnerable on set plays. It is however great to see us playing some really nice football it is a real pleasure to watch after years of dross. Play off still for me.

Bromley we’re poor, but it was only their first outing and it showed in their legs at the end.

Barnet, Wealdstone, kings Lynn and Weymouth next four up.

I

I was responding after that Carson bloke called us 'Wrectum' which is a far older and equally as unfunny joke as Furlough FC.

I dont actually care if you Furloughed players or not.
Check the GOV website, you'll be happy to know your lot furloughed staff to.

Not players we then replaced.

But as I said, I dont give a shit. Furlough your whole team, it doesn't impact upon my life one bit.

I think people are a bit over the top in their expectations of us. Other teams are allowed to do stuff to try and stop us playing the way we want.

A 20 minute spell in which Torquay pressed really high and caused us to get clumsy in possession but didn’t really create anything, during which we managed to hit the inside of the post, have the best other chance and get a man sent off for the opposition, was basically fine. The second half was frustrating. The ten minutes straight after the red card cost us two points.

We were one dimensional, pedestrian and looked overall a moderate team.
Ardley got sacked for playing like that and Birch will too a few months down the line without some serious improvement.
That's how we played pre season, playing Francis is like playing with ten men.
We started with five defenders and a holding midfielder, not good enough to mount a promotion bid off.

Frustrating game that and our lack of firepower needs to be addressed ASAP. We look really solid at the back and the midfield duo of Cooper and Dyer were superb today.

George Wickens will want that first goal back, an absolute shocker to concede.
We're 1 or 2 players away from being a good side.

I think youre both suffering from Aldershot syndrome. They were all giving it large about how they werent that far away blah de blah after comfortably losing to a far superior Chesterfield side.

You're far more generous than me, I thought we looked devoid of ideas, shot shy and a tad unfit.
Nemane and Palmer did well enough but the service to Wootton was poor overall.
Monday will be interesting, a no nonsense Wrexham with a bit of class in key areas should show us where we're at.

Christ, if you thought we looked unfit then god knows what you made of Torquay.

I think I rate Torquay higher than a lot of people to be honest. Thought they were in for a proper transitional season, but they look to have replaced well and were much the same as they were last season. Today reminded me a lot of the play-off game against Chesterfield, just without the last minute winner.

Monday will be interesting. Dunno why, but I can see a chaotic 2-2 draw or something along those lines.

Didn't Torquay have 10 men for 65 minutes? You'd do well to be unfit and see that out as a draw.

Its a good time to play us, we are still some way off where we want to be.

Hopefully Lainton and Lennon have no reaction to todays game after being out for a while. It will help having a bit of consistency.

It was a bit of a wink at the number of them going down to see the game out. Think they were genuinely dead on their feet by the end though, will probably struggle to go again on Monday.

It should be an interesting match Monday . We are still gelling as a team so it might not be a bad time to play us. After you we have Southend and Grimsby away so we will have an indication how the season will go after these tough matches.
We shouldn't fear anyone though as we have some quality players in the team

Read your own forum, there are enough Spireites on there who have said the exact same things as we have.

Based off those first two games, if we can get a decent striker in, we’ll start picking up points.

It's fucking grim the amount of timewasting that goes on in this league. I dread to think how much time the ball is actually in play.

We were at it a bit that last 20 tonight, so I'm not pinpointing a certain team. Every fucker does it.
