Curzon Ashton 1-2 Alfreton Town

Four players out including Matt Rhead, Dayle Southwell, and others.
So given the terrible conditions todays win with goals in the opening minute of each half was a fantastic effort. Back in to the play offs for now.
Bailey Hobson with his 9th of the season from midfield
Debutant Antwoine Hackford on loan from Sheff united with a goal too.

Based on what I saw today confident of progression in the FA Trophy with Matt Rhead back avaliable hopefully
said I fancied you to win.

Another 95th minute winner to add to the collection.

Awful game played in the worst weather you could imagine, made it nearly impossible.

I say to all the Chester supporters it must be really exciting the last 5 or 10 minutes AND injury time. I bet it doesn't do your heart any favours with it pounding or racing. Another nail-biting finish how many is that?

I'm so envious our games are usually shite in the last 10 minutes or so.....

20 goals at the Deva, 10 of them from 80 mins onwards and a good deal of those have been in added time.

Crazy, at least you can say we are fit to keep going deep in games like that.

Insane that like what a record...

As you say you have to give credit where it's due with the players. As you well know we've been on the receiving end of one of these magical comebacks.

FGR out of FA Cup so they had no game today.
Quite a few of us supporters turned up in Gloucester to watch them play Spennymoor.
Gloucester were better side and winning 2-0 when the biggest flare up I've ever witnessed erupted.
Up till that moment it was a good clean game with hardy any stoppages for fouls.
Apparently a Gloucester player bit a Moors player. He was rightly sent off but so was THREE Moor players.
And plenty of Yellow Cards including one for the Moors manager for remonstrating with referee while standing on the pitch.
Eight [8] minutes of time added on for this one stoppage.
Un-bloody-believable.

I wonder if this will be classed as a physical attack. If could spell trouble for the player involved.

There will be mega repercussions for both clubs and players.
If proven that he did bite his opponent McGurk faces a long ban.
I was watching the game but incident was on other side of pitch and instantly flared up.
Difficult to offer an opinion except to say the match officials struggled to regain order - there could have been 30 people on pitch all shouting and pushing.

But to have three Moors players sent off following a foul by an opponent is utterly bizarre. They probably all talked themselves into a Red. Lack of discipline their manager needs to address.

You mean McClure, McGurk is our Co chairman. Wasn't there yesterday so can't comment but if he did, daft thing to do. Hope the club fines him. Despite scoring, he's been a shadow of what he was last season so his ban will give someone else a good opportunity. I'm assuming that will be Dejon Noel-Williams, as Bernard Mensah is another that unless he rapidly improves is likely to be shown the door soon. Good win though, 5 goals scored and 0 conceded in two games, but discipline is a problem. Think we're up to six suspensions so far this season.

They seemed a very very angry team when we played them recently... constant swearing at and moaning to the ref, which helped get one of their players sent off. From what I saw it doesn't surprise me they could lose control completely and their OTT aggression prove to be counterproductive.

Tommy Miller has departed Spennymoor Town. No surprise. They have been on an awful run and seem to have lost all composure yesterday.

Danny livsey may be worth giving a go if you think season is going no where.

inexperienced but he has one heck of a lot of playing experience down here, seen his beginnings in the conference with Carlisle back in 2004, he’s been almost ever present between L1-conf north ever since 16-17 years worth.

he could do with some experienced help, he should ask his old manager Paul Simpson to come in as assistant for short while.
Did you go the game yesterday mate?

Guiseley 0-2 Southport

Routine win for us, rarely looked in any danger. First goal was shocking defending from Guiseley, second one was rifled into the corner from the edge of the area.

Guiseley could be the worst side I've seen this season. They seemed desperate to play nice football but only had 2 players who looked capable of doing so. Their goal kick routine of the centre back passing it sideways to their goalkeeper was just bizarre, and allowed us to pen them in when a big hoof up the pitch would have taken a bit of pressure off them.

Up to the dizzy heights of 7th now. Not bad for a side who were rock bottom 2 months ago.

Fantastic run that like!

I don't want to put the mockers on the result. But if your away form matched your home form you'd surely be around third in the league. Still at least your heading in the right direction.

Pretty grim like that figure. I think maybe the weather may have had a say with that attendance, very stormy night.
Yeah, didn't think about that to be fair. I'm probably not on the same wavelength weather wise, it seemed to pass in the north west just after lunchtime but obviously then made it's way eastwards.

Still, sure they'll still rue only getting than many in for them.

That is an awful figure for Gateshead. Where have those 3/4000 suddenly gone from Friday night?

Surely York took a couple hundred up there too, so at a push - 500 home fans on a huge budget and flying high in the league. Shambles that.

Didn’t go last night but radio said a good amount went, they only had 1 stand open due to weather.
York are a massive mess,Askey come in cracked the whip and players downed tools.wants to move a load on and told them they aren’t wanted,
Last night played first half with 10 men behind ball and lumped in to Beck.
We have a good team when fit but he has just upset everyone.
Shit appointment and going to nosedive.

They looked like Brazil when they played us, although we looked like Sam Marino.

When did they ever get 3/4,000?

They did get 7000+ when they beat Grimsby Town in the National League play-off semi-finals back in 2014, so their part-time fan game is very strong.

I think the majority of those were Toons on a day out.

It was indeed Toons and also Mags, they advertised it on their Twitter before the game to try and get them to fill the ground.
Funny thing was we played them again 4th game of the following season, they had won their opening 3 games and neither Newcastle or Sunderland were at home that day and so their Twitter before the game read: “Newcastle and Sunderland fans come and watch us beat Grimsby for £10.”

I'm not sure whether this game was a re-arranged match? Or from when the fixtures came out in the summer.

If so why on earth play an attractive fixture (revenue wise) on a cold miserable god-forsaken Tuesday night
