Yeah exactly, now Asante is back, once we’ve got him into full fitness we may be able to give Tshimanga a rest every now and then when necessary as Rowe has preferred the one upfront formation for the majority of the season now.

I still think when Asante is back firing on all cylinders that them two should be starting together all the time, I think they’ve got the potential to form a very good partnership.

I think Rowe’s priority in the market is a 10 in the Jack Clarke mould definitely. In regards a striker with there being no actual transfer window in this league, if there was to be an injury to Asante or Tshimanga we’d be able to go out and replace them at any point really… so probably not much point signing someone on a decent wage and potential transfer fee just to sit on bench as 3rd choice forward!

Reckon we’ll see any outgoings? I think JR has had enough of McCourt and wouldn’t be surprised if he departed. We’ve not heard anything about Luke Croll either have we? I know he only signed a short term deal to cover the injuries which I’d presumed was literally a month by month contract?? I’d say he’s definitely worth a longer deal til end of season but with Gunning and Maguire now coming back, it’s probably unlikely.
I'd reckon that outgoings are pretty much nailed on. McCourt and Rowley are unlikely to get a look in now and so will be on their way if someone wants them.

Incomings are much more likely now with Clarke's injury diagnosis. I suspect the medical staff will be getting it in the neck.

Big game at ML today. Hopefully a good time to play Wrexham with Davies out, Mullin half-fit according to the Welsh boys (and EnglishRed) on here, and maybe a couple more out too, and before they turn into the NL Galacticos. As others have suggested, I suspect our covid outbreak hasn’t affected too many of our key players, but all eyes will be on the team news at 2pm.

Wouldn’t be against a draw to be honest with a slightly easier run coming up for us, but I think we can nick it 2-1. Hopefully around 8k in attendance.

Definitely should be starting 2 up front once Akwasi is up to speed. I’d still like us to have another option up there now Rowe is out - but it would be a luxury.

Being greedy I’d like a CAM and a CF to come in.

Re. Outgoings - possibly, it’s just whether we need to move anyone on or not. McCourt is the obvious one but perhaps worth keeping in case Oyeleke and Weston suffer injuries. Can’t imagine Jak is on huge wages.

I would definitely be keeping Croll, he’s excellent.
Funny how you think Croll is excellent, our manager didn’t fancy him yet a fair majority of our fans agreed he was our best choice at the back and this season we have been woeful defensively.

You'll beat us, we don't win these sort of games.

That was such a dour game of football. Kings Lynn didn’t come with the intention to play any sort of football which is understandable but it doesn’t half make games a turgid affair. Nearly got a point too, the rascals.
King returning is vital, my MOTM. So much energy up and down the right. Both our wing backs were on form, the midfield… not so much. Was quite shocked to see Kabongoals miss a one on one sitter late on, no doubt Wrexham have made contact and turned his head. Fumin.

We are going to beat Boreham Wood today. You’ve heard it here first.

You might want to re-format it with Alty v County and Grimsby v Halifax being on the 3rd. Kind of misleading to say they're P-P.
Should have left it as it was....

Wild throwing some beef about in regards to Newby's return to Stockport. Claims he'd of done the same thing though.

Away leg of the Woking double header

Feel nervous that our 8 game unbeaten streak in the league against them is going to come to an end today. Will see how many of the 6 that were rested against Dagenham come straight back in

More Covid in our squad so tomorrow’s game is off, especially with unvaccinated players having to self-isolate.

This is going to be an ongoing issue and will see us dragged into the relegation mire.

We have a large number of unvaccinated players, 10 apparently, so every time one or more is a close contact of someone infected, they go into isolation. The latest being someone who tested positive after training. At this rate, who knows when we will play next.

Could be chaotic at Huish park before kick off, Torquay are bringing over 1000 fans but our antiquated system means they all have to collect their tickets at the ground.

He was on our bench for last game but only because Sarcevic was suspended.

He's our player and contracted. If you want him you can buy him off us. He didn't even start many games for you, I can see us loaning him out to somewhere where he is guaranteed starts.

Halifax recalled out of it.

Real shithouse stuff from Challinor, that. Bring the lad back just to rot in the ressies. Fair play.

He came and slotted straight in effortlessly. He is comfortable with the ball at his feet which at this level is quite rare.

Wild learnt the hard way last season not to be so heavily reliant on loan signings when you did the same thing with Bell. Get he's your player but I'd like to think we wouldn't just recall someone who was enjoying there football to rot in the reserves. Suppose that's the pitfalls of loaning from teams in the same league.

He played a lot more towards the end of his loan spell. I doubt we'll come back for him though. I suspect the fee you'd want would be higher because of the competition for promotion.

Yeah, not confident either. Hopefully a good game , and not too much beyond banter; it’s only a football match, and a little perspective needed.
Another draw, I think, maybe with a few goals.

Elisha Sam to return from obscurity and win the game with a Puskas contender of the back of his calf.

He was on our bench for the last game as we were an attacking midfielder short with Sarcevic suspended and Whitfield who got injured medium term not long after Newby was sent out on loan.

I imagine we'll have a look going forward at what is best for Newby. It wasn't Challinor who loaned him out, it was Rusk so maybe Challinor wants to have a look. If Whitfield got injured before we sent Newby out, you probably would never have had him.

But if we do loan him out, it'll be best for him to go somewhere he starts every week, not bench cameos as if he's not in our plans, we need him in the shop window.

I liked him personally. I'd keep him him until Whitfield is back.

Jesus I had forgotten all about Sam! If Wootton is out and he’s the replacement I’m burning my ticket. Even though it’s on my phone. That’s how bad it would be.

Interested to see the Wrexham away attendance as well. The closer it is to 2,000, the more they’re deliberately spreading the virus and should have to play behind closed doors for longer. ;)

Strong team, only real place we’ve had to fiddle about is Chicksen at left wing back where he’s fine but not much of an attacking threat. Only four subs and one a goalkeeper (which we never do), though, our reserves must have been kissing each other or something.

Roberts and Slocombe on the bench? Had covid and not fully recovered perhaps?

We’ve re-signed Patterson on loan and he’ll be first choice ‘keeper now, just a better player than Slocombe. Roberts on the bench is a surprise, Francis and Mitchell slightly leftfield picks to start so could be the case that he’s had it (again) and not fully ready yet, and obviously the player we’ll be most cautious with if not fully fit with his history.
