Actually beating Aldershot would be the biggest test of our promotion credentials so far… they’ve had our number since we came down somehow.

Our toughest test so far. I predicted 6 wins from our opening 6 fixtures and I think this has got the biggest chance of us dropping points. Really cannot be arsed to see Michael fucking Cheek on the scoresheet, wish he'd piss off.

Forum broke again before I could add anything to the fixtures.

As Jacob says, Aldershot managed do the double over us last year with Pantiyou scoring twice in two 1-0 wins, so we owe them one.

From what the Shots fans say on here this season, it should be pretty one sided - but I doubt it will work out like that. Should win though. Don’t really know what side we will play, either one or both or Roberts and Rodrigues will almost certainly come back in though.

I’d expect us to revert to the team that started the opening game. Only question is probably whether Nemane gets a go at right wing back for DKE as we may want more attacking threat, and it’s possible we could see it as the right kind of game to get Alex Lacey back on the pitch.

We’ve got a very kind run coming up - Aldershot, Weymouth, Wealdstone, Maidenhead, Altrincham, Woking, Halifax and Yeovil are our next eight. There’s not a lot of room for error there if we want to challenge right at the top.

Another Saturday, another away day. I'm not sure what to make of us yet... beaten at home 1-3 by Altrincham on the opening day and then what I thought (and many of us Gulls did) would be a mauling at title hopefuls Notts Co but turned out to be a well-deserved point after having a man sent off in the first half... then Woking... the least said about that game the better.... 0-2 after 4 minutes is not what you want to lift moral within the club and definitely didn't need the second sending off of the season already (I think we've amassed 2 reds and about 300 yellows in three games - which, by anyone's standards, is fucking abysmal).

So, York Road the destination.... can't be any worse than last season's 1-4 (can it?)

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Unless something extraordinary happens on Saturday, you should have no difficulty with this Shots team. A slight unknown, we have loaned a striker from Charlton, a french guy withan unpronounceable name (Aoauchia), but he’ll probably need some decent service, which he’s unlikely to get.
We can make few changes, short of players ( and ideas from Searle).
Can’t make this one, haven’t been to Meadow Lane since Jimmy Sirrel was there. Hope it’s not embarrassing.

Another tough away match and a long journey at least we will have 7 days off before the next match. It should give us an indication of where we are at as Stockport won 1 nil there last week.
Dont think there will be many changes he might bring back Lennon in instead of the young lad Cleworth.
We look strong at the back and dangerous up front so hopeful we can keep our unbeaten run going. But the match will be a real test

Well Phil Brown has given the players a good bollocking following Monday's pathetic last hour. Let's see how they respond after a season of being able to get away with awful performances. Personally, I think Wrexham win this

Just from the game against us, I can see why you’ve been a bit of a disaster in two home games you were expected to win. You troubled us with a press early on but left loads of space in behind that we were starting to exploit and led to the sending off. Once the circumstances changed and you could focus on being organised and defending, you were brilliant. I can see you being awkward and taking points off some good teams as you’ve done with us, but until Johnson gets the balance right you’re going to struggle against teams who can play on the counter against you.

Did he let his players into the dressing room?

It's an important game to win for us I feel this one. It would be handy if we really drilled down on this kind start we've got and maximised points on the board before we play the big dogs. Hope Cheek steps on a plug

Not sure what to expect with us. We are playing good football but we don't take many of the chances that come our way. Still missing a number 9.

We won everyime on tv last year so it's got Yeovil win all over it.

Hoping we give a good account of ourselves. Hoping for an away win

Fully expecting a Wrexham win, shouldn't be as comfortable as teams beat us last season but our lack of cutting edge is clear to see, 0-2 or 1-2 for me. Hope the away fans have a good day out, weather is claiming to be fine for a nice stroll down the pier or getting beered up on the seafront.

I will accept you taking points off Wrexham, even if it’s stuffing up my acca.

Yep a tough game for us finally…Bromley have been a bit of a pain in the arse for us since we arrived in the promised land of the NL. Does that plonker WUM Bush still play for them?

I am expecting to lose this one, having said that it would be typical of Southend to go and win it lol....Anyway, will be in Croatia from Friday, sailing on a catamaran somewhere in the Dalmatians, and trying to get a WIFI signal lol.

As others have said, on paper this is our toughest out the opening few games no doubt about it, and it’s also my first of the season after being away

Expect Khan, Oyeleke, Grimes, Rowe and Clarke to come back into the starting XI for this one. Going for a 3-1 win in front of a big home crowd…

They are a bogey team for us, we've had a couple of shockers against them but surely we've got to be winning this one if we're hoping for a good season.

First proper test as others have said.

I fancy us to beat Bromley though and continue our good run of form.

Tight 1-0 win in front of 5000 town fans.

Im travelllig up to Maidenhead . Good knows what we will do with so many changes. Two horrific home performances but a great effot at Notts , so maybe we will have less pressure.

Worries me that every smaller budget team will look at that second half against Torquay and think that’s the way to play against us at home, only with 11 men rather than 10. Obviously an early goal would help, but every team in this league can organise themselves against a side who’s trying to play through them rather than over them.

We need to play faster. Against Torquay we kept trapping the ball from every pass, it was like children's football drilling, in fairness Burchnall said we played to feet too much.
