My local club Bridgwater United ( Mid table -Western League ) had an attendance of 567 tonight against Tavistock. I'm willing to bet that figure will be higher than a few Conference South teams tomorrow.

Supporting two teams is fine if they aren't part of the same pyramid system. I could see somebody supporting Notts County and Palmeiras for example, as there is virtually zero chance that the two teams would play against each other in regular competition. But two teams from the same pyramid system, such as Liverpool and Maidenhead? A big NO. Imagine what would happen if Liverpool does a Leeds and Maidenhead does a Morecombe and both teams end up in League One in the same season. Which team would you support?

Today's game feels like one you'd say you'd be happy with a point given the situation, but we need to win really. Will be a tight one

I think we still have more than enough to beat them despite the injury list. The league table suggests they're doing something right but it's really hard to fear a team who has Boden leading the line.

It'll definitely be a scrappy, niggly game though, they'll ensure that's the case.

Bromley 23/20. My only bet today. Be loads of trouble today around this way with Blackpool playing Preston. I know a few going, just for a scrap. What is the point?

I could still support both................but my allegiance has always been Liverpool.

I think it also depends on the type of place you live in.....Maidenhead has a lot of people moving in from elsewhere so not many people would grow up supporting them.

No disrespect, but I can't imagine many people moving to Grimsby or Hartlepool etc. so supporters of these teams grew up there and have never even thought about supporting 2 teams. Also these teams have always been "large enough" to move up the pyramid if they had a bit of luck along the way. I remember Grimsby in what is now the Championship.
Therefore supporting these teams may end up as a happy and successful experience. ( potentially anyway, but seeing as they are here, it has not been so happy in recent times!! )
Unlike supporting a tinpot team, where it is very unlikely you will get into the League let alone the Championship or Prem.

So people who support 2 teams are not necessarily wankers as some are claiming here.....just people who have moved around, and have moved into an area with a tinpot team..

As we have a couple of first teamers out tomorrow due to Covid then should we lose then this is definitely the reason, however, should we win then it just shows to show how good our full squad is, strength in depth etc, etc……
If it’s a draw then fuck knows, I’ll have to think of some other shite to say for a draw.
When we lose i'll put it down to the 120 mins and pens on Tuesday night, not the fact we were playing a team vastly superior to us.

Decent odds but not half as good as Alty being 2/1 at Eastleigh

The Facebook Rumour Mill suggests the two players we'll be missing through covid aren't ones that have played in any of our league matches recently, so it sounds like we'll have a full strength starting 11 available.

Be lucky if I make the game at all, whole line between Nottingham and anywhere to the south has been wiped out.

On way to boozer ahead of what no doubt is gonna be a snore fest of a game against BW, as it always is. Expecting lots of petty fouls disrupting flow of the game and timewasting from minute 1 from that fat twat in the sticks for them

Would love to give them the hammering they deserve but I can’t see anything other than either a draw or an odd goal winning the game either way.

With the injuries, my team would be:

GK - Loach

CB - Kerr
CB - Gunning
CB - Maguire

RWB - King
LWB - Miller

CM - Oyeleke
CM - Kellerman
CAM - Mandeville

ST - Rowe
ST - Tshimanga

Burchnall’s going to play 6 upfront or something, I can feel it.

Hoping for 352, Vincent in the middle, Rodrigues and Wootton upfront. Hold back going full Burchball until it’s necessary.

I understand why you would think that but I think you would be surprised at the number of non locals who live here, just as an example every time we get anybody new (English) starting at my work it is usually the case that they are not originally from Grimsby.

Aye and they’re almost always pleasantly surprised to discover they’ve not actually rocked up in Chernobyl despite the world being convinced the two towns are twinned

Only Wootton and Rodrigues upfront and a genuine midfield three? You’ve changed, Ian.

Burchnall’s picked the exact team I would have then, a smart man as I suspected #BurchnallForever

kinda funny that the one time he picks 3 in the middle he leaves Francis, the one genuine holding midfielder, out. I think he’s crap though so pretty happy with Palmer or Vincent in that role instead.

Palmer’s class, can do that role fine I would’ve thought. I’m fully invested in Frank Vincent after he shaved his hair off and ran around a bit against Tamworth. The saviour of our midfield.

I think we’re gonna go 1-0 down early today before coming back to win 3-1.

Must be Taylor and possibly Longe King/Efete with Covid.

Think we’re about to see the exact reason why we shouldn’t have been so relaxed about starting the season with 2 strikers

Not sure about Taylor I was told he didn't train the week before the cup game either, so might have been injured for a while
