Well what a tough games this promises to be. Hopefully a decent watch too - no reason why it shouldn't be.

We've done well of late against Swindon, and picked up a 2-2 draw at the CG earlier in the season (and could have won it late on), however they've been superb since and are chasing automatic. We, on the other hand, are gunning for the playoffs, so a win here is needed to show we belong there, especially as the rest of the top 7 have to visit BP in the coming weeks also.

Likely team:

Kean

Wilson - Wilson - Elekobi - Mills
Kelly - Dieng
Winchester - Jones - Forte
Wilkinson
Latics 2-2 Swindon
(Forte & Wilkinson)

We don't have a great record at Oldham in recent years but I'm hopeful of a positive result.

Hope we do our usual away trick of exploiting space behind the backline as the home team feel the need to press forwards and win 3-0.

Will we play 3-5-2 as usual or 3-5-1-1 (six in midfield!) as we did yesterday? Don't know anything about how Oldham play at home though, but if they play 4-2-3-1 as Hurrikeen suggests, may be we can overload them on the wings when we break forwards? Depends how disciplined Kelly and Dieng are in helping their full backs, I suppose.

Anyway, we almost never do well there, so may be the best I can hope for is we win a scrappy 2-1?

We normally play a diamond, but LJ put two DMs in against Scunthorpe and it worked so he may do it again for your visit.

Kelly is brilliant just in front of the back 4.

Gonna be a tough game though, no doubt.

Know what you mean but we can't win every game.

Tough away game at a playoff chasing team. Not gonna be easy so while we should go for the win, we can't expect one every game

Too right, if we are aiming for the top two then we should be putting the likes of Oldham to bed.

That said, they were resolute at the County Ground earlier in the season but hopefully they will have a go at us on their own patch which will suit our style of play.

I don't know how many will travel on a Tuesday night 250 tops but I will be there working in Bradford this week so a short hop on the train. I think we will setup like we did at home with 6 in midfield in our away games.

Fooderigham
Turnbull N Thompson Stephens
Kasim
Byrne L Thompson Luongo Toffolo
Swift
Williams

I think we could sneak a 1 - 2 win although Oldham were one of the best sides seen at the CG this year.

I liked Winchester's goal on TFLS. Looks a good prospect from that brief glimpse. Hope Kelly decides to have an off day, just to jinx Hurrikeen :) Own goal, back pass intercepted by Williams, something like that.

After a bit more thought, I think we'll go 3-5-2 with Smith coming in for Swift, who'll come off the bench for the last 25 minutes. I have a sneaky feeling Nathan Thompson will still be suffering from his dead leg, despite what has been reported. So:

Foderingham
Rossi-Branco Stephens Turnbull
Byrne Luongo Kasim L Thompson Toffolo
Smith Williams

Tough game for Swindon this, but their away record is excellent so I can't see them dropping points unfortunately

Being charitable, maybe you could read it like this: We should be beating everyone below Preston if we want to stay in touch with BCFC and MKD because they are so good. But we'll probably lose tomorrow, end up in the play-offs, and lose to you in the final. That's karma, that is.

Must admit our record up there is not overly clever, i think we last got points there when their pitch resembled the beach at Blackpool, hopefully we can get a draw, which in my mind would be a decent result for us

Boundary Park on a Tuesday evening doesn't immediately scream "3 points" to me. I'd be mightily impressed with a win in this fixture but then I've been mightily impressed with this team all season. We're certainly capable.

I'd back the draw though and a return of the 2-2 that was played out at The County Ground.

Would be more than happy with a point tonight. Oldham away is not 'easy' by any stretch. We have to be on the top of our game tonight to get anything.

not too sure what to expect really. A point would be a good result but we really want to get back into that top six. 1-1

Looking forward to an entertaining game last nights MK result has taken the pressure off a little and I would take a draw, is there plenty of parking at the ground ?

This should be an entertaining game. Oldham were good vs us at BP and play good attacking football. Swindon are the best side I've seen this season, looked like you could get at them, but were lethal in midfield and upfront. If there isn't goals here it will be a miracle.

Given you'll only be bringing around 250ish then you should be OK to park right close to the ground yeah.

That wasn't meant as a dig BTW.

there is parking at the hospital and the ground which I never use so I wouldn't be able to comment on. I'm pretty sure that the clayton green pub next to the ground charge a fiver for parking, however you can redeem this against drinks/food purchases. There is also a large B&Q and retail park near the ground so as Hurrikeen says parking shouldn't be a problem. One word of advice however, there is a large dirt-track running behind the B&Q where you will see plenty of cars parked up. Don't risk it. There are plenty of reports of theft from vehicles, especially on night matches.

I saw on the tv you've started to build that side stand? Is that still on track, going to be completed any time soon, out of interest?

Cheers for that I don't think I will be risking a brand spanking 45k car with Swindon number plates down that dirt track LOL, sounds like B&Q or retail park is the option is there no time limit in there? I am working in Bradford so only a shortish journey for me tonight leaving at 6 so hopefully should be there in good time.

M62 can be an absolute pain in the ringpiece at rush hour but hopefully you'll be OK. Ive parked on the hospital car park many a time (£3 for 3hrs) and never been done for it.

ahh even better, you will be coming off at the retail park, you can risk it on there or if you follow the roundabout around you will see the chadderton park inn(Toby Carvery). There is loads of street parking there and the ground is visible and just a ten minute walk away. Also your back on the motorway in less than 60 seconds.

edit- not quite sure if there is a time limit at the retail park tbh.

Thanks guys hopefully it will be as entertaining as the game at the CG was earlier in the season.
