Well done Oldham. Sounds like we gifted you a head start and then too much to do.

Don't fancy you in play offs if that's how it pans out!

We did more than enough to gain a point but did not take our chances or turn the possession into enough goal scoring opportunities. Oldham blitzed us for the first 20 minutes and I feared another Cheltenham performance but after that we seemed to calm down and stroked the ball around until it hit Smith and Obika who were both awful , we then brought on Williams and Hylton and the game changed with waves of attacks but to be fair to Oldham the two centre halves and Goalkeeper had stormers . I said earlier in the season when we played them at him they would make the play offs and after watching that last night my opinion has not changed, in terms of us we have to get Nathan Thompson back to stop the individual errors and Coopers has to start Williams and I think we will be good enough to get over the line but I think it is going to the wire especially with Preston coming back into contention.

it would be interesting to see your goal again, I was sat behind the goal in the end it went in but In the far corner towards the new stand, was it a keeper cock-up as it certainly looked like Kean could of done better for it? The lad I was sat with seems to think it moved all over the place and left him bamboozled. Im sure the Swindon fans would of had a better view as it was angling towards yourselves.

Loads of complimentary comments from Oldham fans on their forum. Doesn't change the result of course but nice to see.

Without doubt the best side we've faced this season, regardless of whether we won. We got spanked 7-0 of MK Dons (nothing new there), but we were an absolute shambles that day and it was when the off-field troubles arose. Certainly not taking anything away from them, as they were the best team to play us this season before yesterday.

I think you need to go up this season, because if you dont then the likes of Luongo, Kazim, Byrne & Thompson may be poached, and whilst you may have a decent wedge to replace them with, it's not as simple as that.

Forte's disallowed "goal" yesterday was the wrong decision I'm told, so it should have been 3-0 in that first half!

Cheers. I genuinely believe that in terms of football played, we are the best side in the division. I've supported Town for 15 years and never known a team quite like this one. The way we knock it about, carve teams open and, of course, not a long ball in sight. It's a joy to watch at times but not without its limitations. Think the opening 10 minutes last night personified that; an incredibly young squad playing football on the floor (even the 'keeper) is always going to make a few mistakes a game, we just need to either a) limit them or b) prevent the opposition from taking advantage of it.

I think Luongo will be off whether we are promoted or not. He's far too good for us and is almost certainly destined for the Premier League. Spurs have a 50% sell-on clause which, if he goes for a fee similar to that of Dele Alli, would net Town around £2-2.5m. I'm more optimistic of keeping hold of the others mentioned.

Shocked by the amount of praise we're getting from Oldham fans on their forum. Suppose it's easier to be complimentary when you've won the game but still nice to see.

one thing not so complimentary, a lot of niggling fouls last night, I think you may have been lucky to still have 11 on the pitch by the end of the game.

It was a goalkeeping error it bounced just in front of him and he dived underneath it, I thought your 1st goal looked well off side not seen the highlights . To be fair after that he made 2 or 3 great saves the one near the end that he managed to tip over looked in as soon as it left Williams head. I see a few are talking about niggly fouls and I would agree Branco and Louis Thompson are always culprits but the ref was such a homer as the number 8 made at least 4 or 5 fouls and never even got a talking to.
