Just descended from the land of judicious night soil disposal, stupendous landscapes, traffic jam avoidance via riverbeds and the adrenalin rush of photographing Wild Yaks - that has been the Tibetan Plateau for the last week or so. WiFi and 4G everywhere and the Yak herders have far better phones and selfie technique than I can offer but I've been too knackered most days to do more than fall into "bed."

With the Histon Evening News, twitter, facebook, etc blocked here (too incompetent and knackered to get the software to bypass), this has been one of my few Brexit free sources of info on the outside world. The Chinese pop up porn adds are a pest but I've offered a few votes - mostly on albums that I haven't even heard all the way through.

Tomorrow it's back into the fray as we do the desert north of Galmud (current luxurious location) before heading back to 4,500 m plus, then the train from Xining to Lhasa.

Strangely, my nominations seem to have fallen by the wayside, so I'm depending on you two (Vanni and Aber gas) to rescue the quality of the final stages.
