Beat Solihull 5-0.

Bakayoko x2, Oztumer x2 and Cuvelier scored for us.

No trialists, shit looking squad when split into 2.

Be afraid league, be afraid.

On the flip side, this is Solihull's 3rd pre-season game. They drew 1-1 with Oxford and lost 3-1 to Birmingham.

Both played decent or full sides.

So a bit more to be positive about there than originally thought.

Not sure why it's negative at Walsall your signings have been every impressive! Get a striker in amd you'll be reyt!

Oztumer and Flo were absolutely fantastic, they linked up so well. Think I already like Oztumer more as he was willing to not only shoot but also put the hard yards in to press.

Bakayoko was really useful too. Came out of the game today feeling much, much more positive. Youth teamers and the first year pro's were also really tidy. Only bad performers were Osbourne who looked rusty and MacGillivray who flapped at 2 crosses, which is really what you expect from goalkeepers in pre season.

Just to add that Bakayoko's two goals were both penalties.

Beat Kidsgrove Athletic 2-1. We were trailing 1-0 and Kidsgrove missed a pen before Michael Brown scored twice to spare our blushes.

Joked our way through to a 2-1 win over Kidsgrove Athletic.

Yes its a friendly etc.. etc... But look lightweight. Just because we have a team with exotic names does not necessarily mean we are going to watch football with flair.

We lost 1-0 to Marbella to close out a brilliant week away in Spain.

Leicester on Tuesday night, when I'll give you all the update on our progress that you've been waiting for. Never been this involved in a set of friendlies!

Thanks for explaining the concept - I was baffled by the fact that we were still on zero points in the league, and that Marbella had been moved to league one.

Sounds like a cracking week away couldn't really ask for a better pre season trip.

We lose 2-0 at home to Wednesday on Saturday and by all accounts were pretty poor and way off the pace. Our pre season schedule is awful - our only test first up 12 hours after we landed back from Hungary. Makes no sense at all with Matlock, Ilkeston, Leiceister U21's + a Testimonial left.

Our simultaneous games this afternoon:
Curzon Ashton 1 v 3 Rochdale (Mendez-Laing 2, Bunney)
Stockport 0 v 1 Rochdale (Andrew pen)

Trialists who played some or all of the games were Theo Robinson, River Humphreys, Timothy Dieng (Senegalese goalie), Tony Thompson (goalie who played for Chester last season) and Aaron Morley (the only one I can find on google is a Running Back in US College gridiron, which.seems unlikely :) - anyone know who he might be?) EDIT. A Morley is a first year scholar with us - fairly impressive 90 minutes for a 16 year-old according to eye witnesses...

Gonna be comfusing if you sign him and he plays against us. Timothy Dieng saves from Timothee Dieng.

Still no idea what you're talking about.

How was your own trip?

Was absolutely brilliant mate done a lot of travelling over the last 6 weeks with all the euros but the 2 nights in la manga was by far the best. Imagine if any of us was good and had a proper game in Europe. I hope we have another good trip next year but yours was perfect

We're entertaining Reading this evening. Been a while since we've played them.

Should be feeling some sort of mild distaste for a localish club but I just can't be arsed to summon up the requisite amount of bile.

We lost to Sturm Graz's B/ U21's/ U18's /U16's. 3-2 and are now back home in Cov where the political bickering has restarted.

We're away at Matlock tonight as are most of the UK's media it seems in preperation for Cheds debut. Nevermind him, they want to be reporting on the circus in the boardroom.

We have Concord Rangers away tonight as our game against Braintree was postponed because their pitch is knackered. High calibre stuff.

Interesting because I live in that neck of the woods and some of their lot were relishing the fixture.

It really is hard to care about Reading.
