Release Lists

Waddock said in the press conference earlier that one player is under contract already for next season, and another couple have already been offered deals. I expect that one of the 4 you mention above are under contract, and the other 3 may have been those offered deals as all are under 24.

Jake Gallagher is the only one with an option on his deal, so hopefully he's triggered it.

Altrincham have announced their retained list

Altrincham FC ‏@altrinchamfc 44m44 minutes ago
Ryan Crowther, Tom Marshall, Adam Griffin, Luca Havern, Tim Deasy, Josh O'Keefe, Jordan Sinnott, George Bowerman & Nicky Clee.have departed.

Meetings planned with 4 remaining players, Damian Reeves, Michael Rankine, Scott Leather & James Lawrie to see if agreement can be reached

Jake Moult, Simon Richman, Shaun Densmore & Sam Heathcote are already contracted for next season.

Deasy surely to sign for Stockport now? I won;t mourn the rest, with the exception of Nicky Clee, but I can see why he's been released.
Edit to add - I really can't see Rankine signing

No chance of our retained list coming any time soon as Hill still doesn't know what his budget is going to be, that is, of course, assuming he hasn't left yet like three other staff members have. All falling apart at Woking. Only three relegation spots up for grabs next season.

Nuneaton who are going full time in the North next season have released theirs

David Morgan, Tom Elliot, Joe Ironside, Elliott Whitehouse, Kristian Scott and Sam Warburton were already contracted for next season, so they will all be staying.

The club has excercised the option to extend the contracts of James Clifton, Joe Maguire, Shane Byrne, Jordan Keane and Zeus De La Paz, so they too will all stay at Liberty Way.

I have offered deals for next season to Jack Lane, Cieron Keane, Lathaniel Rowe Turner, Billy Daniels and Vamara Sanogo. I now just have to wait for them to decide if they want to accept or not.

I have decided to release James Reid, Tyrell Waite, Ryan Smith and Nathan Hicks.

To allow him to sign for Real Madrid?
You mock,... but a fully fit Nicky Clee would walk into any NL team.
However, his body is failing him now and he would be lucky to play a game a week or just do subs appearances which is not enough especially with our limited resources.

He will be greatly missed at Alty.

Gannon is rather surprisingly speaking to Danny Hurst about a new contract so maybe not - from the general Alty fan opinion of Deasy I would be happy enough if we do sign him though.

Deasy was excellent this season. Actually, my initial comment about not mourning the others was a bit mean. I really liked Griffin, a tremendous crosser of the ball when he got forward, which he didn't do very often this season. He also gained some weight and aged a bit. Havern also looked like he gained weight and lost interest. Marshall wasn't the quickest before he broke his ankle, and I can't imagine he'll have sped up, Sinnott suffered because his dad was manager, and has skills, despite what the average Alty fan says.

Crowther is possibly the biggest disappointment of the lot. I spent his first season thinking "when he's fit and gets a run, he'll be useful". I spent all last season thinking "he's supposed to be a winger, why does he always cut inside and do seven stepovers before getting bundled off the ball?". He managed 90 minutes once all season, and was off sick more than the average NHS employee of the 1990s.

Deasy wouldn't be the worst reserve keeper for a NL side - he's been mentioned on the Barrow forum several times this season - he tends to play well against us - probably because he was with us from 2007 - 2010

I didn't realise that *all* of Wrexham's are out of contract!

Crazy stuff but we may end up offering deals to most. I would mind if we released around the 5/6 mark.

Certainly expect us to offer deals to Rhys Taylor, Sean Newton, Connor Jennings, Kayden Jackson, Manny Smith but you just never know.

Newton and Fyfield looked your best players last Saturday, Connor Jennings is a moaning tw@t - but has got a lot of stick for missing the goals when clear through Saturday when in fact the keeper got a touch to put the ball wide - that's why Connor was protesting when a goal kick was given

Newton and Fyfield have been solid this year, and I hope they're offered something. I'm a big fan of Connor Jennings as a player, but I agree, he is a moaning bastard. The Aldi Wayne Rooney.

So far we know Lee Fowler. Cam Belford and Adriano Moke are leaving. 100% would of kept Moke

I'm genuinely disappointed about Moke. Up until Christmas, I had him pegged as player of the season. Something happened off the pitch, obviously, but it's a shame he's not been given a chance to make amends. He'll be a good signing for somebody.

I know it's neither here nor there, but when he was on the bench, he'd always be over at half time chatting to and signing autographs for the kids with a massive smile on his face. Really looked like it was no hardship for him to be doing so. It's stuff like that which makes their day, and turns them into lifelong fans. A class act in my book, I wish him well.

Yep, disappointed to see Moke go but he'll pick another club up in this league easily enough. Vidal, Fowler & Belford gone so far, can't argue with that.

Munns, Waters, Rowe, Barthram and Dayton all signed up with Morgan-Smith and Downes verbally agreed. Now have the majority of our squad on board for next season less than a week after the season ended, not bad.

Brabin has just released a couple of his fat freinds in gary taylor-fletcher and speedy higdon
The usual Gary Brabin process is underway. Brabin will sign some good players. Get everyone all excited about the new season, then when the season rolls around he'll mess it all up again.

Offered New Contracts:
Mark Carrington
Rob Evans
Jamal Fyfield
Simon Heslop
Kayden Jackson - turned down his offer
Connor Jennings
Sean Newton - accepted a new deal

Players Released:
Cameron Belford
Louis Briscoe
Iwan Cartwright
Jake Doran
Lee Fowler
James Gray
Blaine Hudson
Adriano Moke
Danny Reynolds
Jonathan Royle
Aaron Simpson
Manny Smith
Javan Vidal
Ross White
Joe Williams
Wes York

Very surprised Manny Smith has been released but the rest is almost spot on. Would only have kept Fyfield as a backup. And obviously Jackson has had a better offer elsewhere.

that's a lot of released players.....
wasn't Manny Smith the defender that Andy Cook made look like a Sunday league defender for the 1st goal last week?

Too many performances like that are the reason he's going. A shame as on his day he's a classy defender.

A couple of very good players at this level on that list who for one reason or other haven't performed consistently enough.

Happy with all those offered contracts. Hope they all sign, and Taylor too. Sounds like Feeney is making big changes at Newport so I don't think they want him back, and initial sounds are that he's happy wih us. Just depends if he gets league offers really.

Wow that's quite a few released there. I'll really miss Blaine, Manny and Wes and always fondly remember Moke's magic period earlier on this season.

Manny Smith will be one of our highest, if not the highest, earner, so maybe Mills thinks he can get someone as good, but cheaper in. He's not quite been as good this season anyway. Spend his considerable wages on a central defender who's captain material and can organise the backline maybe.

Shame Jackson will be off. Not surprising though.

I'd imagine that Carrington , Evans, and Fyfield will join Newton and sign. Will Heslop get a better offer elsewhere? I'm not sure. Jennings will have loads of other clubs wanting him, we'll do well to keep hold of him.

nearly every team at the top of the league has someone other teams really dislike because he can be a knob and is quite good - Jennings seems to fit that bill....

I'm not sure Jackson will definitely be off. He's been at league clubs and not had his chance before. But I'm sure there is interest so makes sense for him to hold fire for a bit. I'm hopeful hell sign.

Maybe I'm biassed, but I don't think Jennings is a nob really. A bit thick maybe, yeah.
He really loves his pet dog.

I wonder whether Askey would be interested in having Moke back next season. Another central midfielder would be useful with Danny Whitehead leaving and he'd be able to go back out on the wing if needed.

He's not simply holding fire, Jackson has rejected an offer, so presumably wants more money if he's going to be tempted to stay because he's confident he'll get better offers elsewhere. The question is, how much do we push the boat out for a player like Jackson? He's got something, but is still miles off the finished product. How much do you gamble on him progressing again nest season?
