I couldn't be bothered reading through that, why couldn't they just produce an actual list?

Some big names released there, seems slightly harsh on Curtis, Shaw and Baxter. Depending on how good Shaw is (haven't seen him in ages), he might we worth a look at.

The only one I would look at if we are still in this cesspit would be Chandler.

That is mad! They release Curtis and player of the year Baxter??? Budget cuts, surely. And also put Russell up for transfer? He'd be my first signing for Barrow then.

Not too many players on that list to interest us, Chandler would probe be the only definite. Curtis may be worth a look at depending on if his legs have gone as badly as some of the Gateshead fans reckon. Baxter is a good RB but we have a pretty great one of those already. Phillips and Marwood may be worth a look but don't think their injury record is too good. All in all fairly slim pickings from that lot.

Marwood has gone from being a star player, crowd favourite and getting a move to the SPL to being chucked on the scrap heap second time round. Some fall from grace that.

Surprised Russla's not being kept on, quality keeper.

Hope we go in for Jimmy Philips. Think he would be very good in the North.
Possibly the most pointless Alty loanee of the season, played about an hour and got injured. I didn't notice him when he played

When we were relegated in 2014/15 we had him for the last 3 games of the season and he tried his heart out for us. Just a shame he and Dan Bradley were the only ones. Possibly the fact everyone else was shit made Jimmy look very good I dont know.

For us it looks likely that Sean O'Hanlon, Paul Connolly and Richard Brodie will be leaving us, plus a few more

We'll be releasing a fair few and trying to move some in contract along.. won't be as much coming in as we have a decent youth team making the step up.

Cameron Belford has tweeted he's leaving.

Hoping Taylor can be signed on permanent next season.

Basically what I predicted last week seems to be coming to fruition with Smalley and Ellison possibly staying and everyone else going who is out of contract going.

I'm guessing official announcements will be made after the awards night on Saturday.

I liked Margetts, whether he'd choose us is doubtful

Doubtful.

Expecting us to sign Adam Dawson, so Kirby would be 3rd choice. Can't see him going, especially as Dawson is injury prone.

Margetts will probably be released though and he did well for you?
He did okay in front of goal but he wasn't as convincing as I expected, his overall game was poor and he showed a complete lack of work rate off the ball, I wouldn't want him back personally.

Yous can have him, he couldn't lace up Adam Bartletts boots. He's been nothing like the keeper I have seen play brilliantly against us many a time.

I'm gutted about Curtis leaving as he is a club legend but he is 34 and one of the two cbs had to go I suppose and as for Baxter he is a quality right back but every manager since Ian Bogie has tried to replace him and they have failed every time.

Not sure if I'm looking forward to this summer as the last two years managers have promised us the world and signed a load of shite. It's very interesting there's only one player left from our Wembley season and not one Gary Mills signing left which just shows how shit he is in the transfer market.

I may have been totally wrong, but I think Russell played against us in both games this season? Looked decent to me. Though if that was Bartlett, then I've got it all wrong! Curtis has always played well against us.

Is it the result of budget cuts though? Looks a hefty chunk of regulars to get rid of. And even Pattinson was very good against us.

I'd have Margetts back in a heatbeat. Did his fair share of donkey work for us, but added a bit of class and know-how in front of goal too.

I'd expect Brodie to find another club in the north-west, that is if anyone would have him (it would be fun to see how he gets on with those two manc rottweilers at Salford!). He's settled with a Southport lass and they've got a kid on the way, can't see him going too far away.

As for us, we haven't got anywhere near doing a released list, it's more a case of trying to find out who wants to stay at the moment! So far we've got Gary Jones, Andrai Jones, Jamie Allen and Liam Nolan signed on for next season, and we can assume Bishop will register as a player too. Andy Wright has retired and is going to a coaching job in the USA, and there are very strong rumours that Louis Almond is off to find himself another club.
