On way home now. Made hard work of that but vital win. A defeat would have left our playoff hopes looking dire.

Disappointed for Hartlepool, more so for the good bunch on here. May you be rid of your bad owner sooner rather than later.

We wasn't at our usual levels, but we found a way to win. Crewe to their credit I thought played well, they setup and made life difficult for us. In the end we punished 2 mistakes they made at the back for the penalty and an horrific goal keeping error for the second.

Their front 3 caused us a few issues on the break, Dan Agyei in particular caused problems all afternoon and Chris Long had 2 chances to punish us but didn't. Scrappy win but we got over the line.

Mansfield won't have a better chance of beating us Tuesday as I imagine everyone is now on it for the rest of the weekend.

Evans crying about the stick he got post match brilliant.

Salford keeping us out of the play-offs with another 98th minute winner is irritating.

Sorry to see you go Pools but hopefully with Askey in charge you will be back soon.
At least there will be no Wrexham to compete with next season so more of a level playing field down there.
Gutted for you lot, I genuinely am. :(
I’m the same, and for ‘Dale as well.
Really thought Pools were nearly home and dry after they tonked us.

Didn't travel today but sounded like we were beaten by a good team in Northampton. They will be promoted on saturday when they beat Bradford. We will be here next season to everybodies delight :)

Not seen the ground come together all season like that in the last 15 minutes.

No side this season has had the injuries we’ve had this season, we were dead on our arse and needed every little bit to help us over the line.

I genuinely believe the fans helped the lads over the line. the togetherness between the fans and players was out there, well done.

On the match today, the win was the important thing but I thought we were quite poor on the ball (not for the first time!), although we defended really well, plenty of bodies on the line blocks. Lots of heart and determination. Ground it out.

But if we get in the playoffs we have to up our performance. That today wouldn’t beat any of the teams we’d likely face in the playoffs.

Sums up a lot of our games this season, conceded some poor goals and that was another, and our record of coming from behind is abysmal. Wild makes his substitutions too late, giving them next to no time to make an impact. Thought it was a decent advert for League Two though, end to end at times. Just hope the nobheads behaved themselves.
If you mean the nobheads on the street leading up to the station, then no they didn’t. All kicked off outside that British legion pub, a couple of barrow lads in a black hoods will be spending tonight in a cell I should imagine.
I’m sure some of our fans will be too.

That for me was the best away day since Hull in the FA Cup.
Almost a full house and our fans sung the entire game which certainly lifted our players.
Genuinely sorry to see Hartlepool probably go down as I've enjoyed our visits there and it's a great club.

I'm certainly not going but I hope whoever does is angry enough to make it as hostile as possible.

The only silver lining is we are spared the ignominy of going down at Edgeley Park

Very nervy afternoon at Sixfields, 3-1 harsh on Harrogate but we were very clinical in a first half in which we were second best and then managed the game well in the second.

Post match celebrations given some extra oomph when word went round of Gills equaliser, so as I said earlier, up the shagging gills imo.

This team has resilience in spades and we are inching towards the line, although I’m still convinced there’ll be a nasty surprise in store after last seasons ending.
It'd take a spectacular combination of results to keep you from crossing the line now, it's as good as in the bag for the Cobblers IMO. Stevenage need to be dropping points on Tuesday night otherwise they're as good as there too.

Didn't deserve to lose to Carlisle - bossed most of the game, but couldn't score.
The game may yet come back to haunt Carlisle though as the ref has confirmed he will be looking at the footage of a 1st half incident he missed - a clear elbow from Gordon that should have been a red card - and retrospective action (red card) will be taken if needed

We weren't at our best, but not sure where you get the idea that you 'bossed most of the game'. Been listening to Pete Wild too much, perhaps. We have a couple of gears to move through, but didn't seem to need to today - other than Tom White's chance and hitting the post at the end, I can't think of a moment where I felt you looked likely to score.

The 'elbow' (fairly sure it was Moxon, not Gordon, and in the second half - unless I'm thinking of a different 'incident') was pretty innocuous - more a case of leading with his elbow than deliberately targeting your player. No chance of a retrospective red.

In a separate incident, Gordon had the ball booted at his face when a free kick had already been given for a foul. How that didn't result in a card is a mystery. Think one thing we'll all agree on is that the ref was another 'all about me' type. Too many of them at this level.

Ourselves and Stockport are both relying on you beating both the Stags and Bradford, please don't start the party yet!

Most of the bench were either available to do 10 minutes or nothing at all. Whatever happens we cannot doubt the effort from this group of players, I mean Quinn and Perch playing all these minutes they are both nearly 40 it’s ridiculous.

If you lobbed a brick at Kilgour or Wallace instead of a ball they still head the fucker.

Barrow’s away end though :ffs:

The “improvements” they’ve done to it have actually made it worse. The roof with all the pillars, the weird seated bit, the segregation, the wall that you stand behind at the side is literally these…
BarreiraNewJersey.JPG

So you nearly end up over it if there’s any sort of push forward behind you.

Should have just kept it the way it was, big open terrace no roof. Would have been fine. Or knock it down completely and do a Salford style quick build.

That’s what I’m hoping for really, get a nice gap and then if one team is going to drop out of the autos and be caught I’m hoping Stevenage will be the unfortunate ones.

Just how much shitter can the likes of Walsall and Doncaster be before this season ends?

Maybe they should be automatically relegated for finishing the season so poorly.

Saw the result. Fist pump, jump up and down like a looney. Shouts of get in there. Then calm down a bit and realise that although it's great for me it's not so great for other folks on here.
Fuck that mate, you fist pump your way round this place as much as you want. Get your t-shirt over your head like Ravanelli and run around the League Two forum with your willy out. You've earnt it. Drink it in.

Think going down to Crawley was worse, We were heartless, Spineless.
I understand why everybody blames Raj, But could not blame him for that 90 mins yesterday.
Askey looked broken after the match, Shows how much the players respect him.

Who's fault is it really at Hartlepool then?

The owner? The club? The manager? The players? The fans? The town?

It sounded like Askey was on the verge of tears & genuinely hurt, quite moving considering he's only been here 2 months.
As for the player's,Sylla & Dodds apart ,wern't worth a wank.
Disgraceful performance considering what was at stake.

No way am I going Saturday, what's the point & I hope no fucker goes to Stockport.

Problem is turn on Singh and he'll likely end you like he did us. Seriously deluded, narcissistic t**t who should be nowhere near any football club. Thank God he never got his hands on your stadium. That will prevent you ending up with the sad state of affairs we are in.
