Gore and Weir debut, no sign of Rhys Williams, big Uche starts so looks like no movement there for him at the moment.

Surprised Debrah isn’t starting in defence as we feel better with him in but otherwise happy with the line up, just still so many injuries leaving us very light on the bench.

My boy Conor Grant to provide the match winning performance I’ve been saying he will do for 25 games running. Today’s the day I can sense it. Looking forward to Gore, Weir and Chislett in midfield. It could be either really fun to watch or leave us massively open.

No Aimson in the matchday squad - off to Wrexham, apparently.

The two club captains, Michael Morrison and John Brayford who are starting today in the Cambridge vs Burton game, both started against each other when we played eachother back in 2006. Weird to think that's nearly 18 years ago!

Game ended 2-1 to Burton then, hoping for different result today!!

Rob is here in his suite! Wonder if he will come on the pitch.

Large periods of nothing followed by 5 minute spells where it’s like a basketball game. Even game.

Terrible half from Vale in all honesty. Should be a couple behind really. Been far too easy to get in behind particularly Iacovitti on the left. Uche off injured too isn’t ideal either.

We've done the old sit back and admire tactic. Fortunately Pompey have been useless upfront. But fuck me they go down easily, every touch has been a foul. Aided and abetted by a useless referee.

Beggars belief that this team is the same team who lost 3-0 to Fleetwood and 7-0 to Bolton...

Dull game which is very stop start but we haven’t really got going and been far too respectful of Pompey here.

Knew when I saw who was referee it wasn’t going to be without incident though and he’s absolutely awful, yellow card for a beautiful tackle on half time. Didn’t give a free kick when Uche is pretty much hugged to the ground and looks to have a bit of a nasty injury and rightly booed off. Only thing he has got right is so far not falling for their diving in the box.

Like the look of Gore but we have been well below the levels of last time out with the ball.

Too deep, no idea why when the first 5-10 minutes we had a bit of a go and they looked very shakey.

By the way, why is Colby Bishop such a twat? What is it with talented players that they have to be such a c***? Look mate, you're a decent player, why not be a decent person too?

FFS.

We are (deservedly) 2-0 down to bottom-of-the-league Fleetwood. It's been argued that Stockley committed a foul in the build-up to the second goal but even if that's true, we'd still be 1-0 down.

Boos throughout Adams Park.

A chink of hope perhaps with Omochere sent off just before HT for a second yellow, but I'm taking nothing for granted in terms of our ability to get back in this, we are just so, so weak in attack.

This was our last "winnable" (the inverted commas are doing a lot of heavy lifting there) game before a hideous run in Feb...

I was apprehensive about today and is the type of game we have struggled in, in recent years. But we’ve actually turned up first half and it’s been men against boys. Hopefully second half will be similar

That was a joke. He’s literally robbed us blind with that. Horrendous foul of Chislett doesn’t give it and gives a penalty. It’s an absolute robbery.

I want to see that again on the penalty so will reserve judgement but real time that certainly looked a foul on our player before the penalty decision itself.

The EFL are going to fucking do us big time for that person going on to try and have a pop at the ref. Certainly added a bit of raw aggression back to the VP atmosphere which some feel we’ve lost at least after.

All that said I’m amazed Portsmouth hadn’t scored against our kamikaze defence beforehand.

Another good game for a 0-0, and so nice not to lose to Peterborough

They started stronger, as expected, lot of the ball but we defended well throughout. Don't think we allowed 1 cross to come in. Considering the striking options of Peterborough, expected much more.

Not as many chances for us this week as Derby last week, but we held our own and 2 more points than I expected from these games.

We changed it up with 20 to go and went more of a 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 still had a good chance from Mandriou.

Cracking

Absolute joke. I'm not surprised someone went on to try and deck the referee. What an absolute scandal. We'll get another apology letter from the EFL but it's not enough. He was desperate to give Portsmouth something all game, they loved the floor more than staying on their feet.

We weren't great today but we could have taken a point.

Potentially the worst referee I've seen in some time though.

Been told we are signing Collins after dropping Ennis interest. Would love that but unsure how true it is
Yes Bolton also been mentioned on our forum. Collins asked MT not to pick him today so he can sod off if that's his attitude

Well Burton were…. Interesting…

Eleven bookings (7 for them, 4 for us) in a game that the ref lost control of.

At work but just seen the result and the stats. Seems like it should have been more than 2-0.

One of those days for Fleetwood, the red card killed their momentum and allowed us to get right back in the game, otherwise they'd 100% have been celebrating all 3 points rather than a draw.

They looked all right in places, but then they were only playing toothless old us.
