3-1 deserved win today. Having a decent keeper plus Wilson and Martin back from injury/illness makes a hell of a difference.
Conteh (or was it Kante?) looked very decent in his first game, and was able to provide much needed cover in front of a leaky defence.
Oxford offered very little bar about 20 mins in the 2nd half and got a lucky deflected goal. Like Barnsley I cant see how they are up there.

how depressing if even the "top" sides in this division are shite and yet we're still 19th. :ffs:

Deserved win for Shrewsbury. Taking Sowerby and McWilliams out of our midfield really changes our balance and we looked poor today. Shrews as expected looked at it, glad I had £20 on them as they deserved the win. They’ll be fine on that basis now they’ve started trying again for their new gaffer.

Yet again we more than match supposedly one of the better sides in the league and come away with nothing. Would love to see our penalty shout just before Derby equaliser again, looked nailed on.

Just seen cheating taken to a new level by the Burton keeper, obviously feigning injury 4 times in the second half, wasting ludicrous amounts of time and goading the home fans. Finally given a yellow card in the 97th minute and should still have received 2 more between then and full time. Truly gobsmacking!! The rest of the game wasn’t worth talking about!

It’s getting to the stage now where I think we should just forfeit all our remaining games to save the embarrassment.

Worst team in the league by a mile. I’d be astounded if there’s ever been a worse football team at this level than this shower of shit we currently put out.

Getting worse by the week. But some of our deluded fans still actually think we might stay up

Never give up this league is as unpredictable league as you will ever see one.............How the hell did you beat us at our place and defeats against Wigan, Reading

How the hell have we won games against Port Vale and Cheltenham when both battered us

You have made a couple of decent league 2 signings this week and have recently been taken over...........Your club is a darn better off now than it was two/three years back...Just dont expect too much

would settle for that steve.....wheres that come from
Just someone I know around the club. He’s not always 100% but said that’s what he’s heard. He told me about Dapo to Germany before it was all public and Mendes Gomes. But a few spurious ones too. But it used to be so much easier to get info out the club but Evatt and Markham are much better at keeping a lid on it nowadays... i’d defo take it too.

Was only a few seasons ago pretty much at this exact date we were still 21st in league 2 and got promoted. You never know. Shame takeover and investment didn’t come during the summer.

Massive result that, we were outstanding first half and could have been out of sight.
Still had some chances in the second but understandably Barnsley laid seige and we were hanging on at the end.
Only down side was the injury to Harper, who has only just come back from a lay off. Cluelessly booed by the Barnsley fans.

First Rovers fans boo Purrington being stretchered off, now Barnsley fans boo Harper.. Guess they just can't handle being beat by "little old Exeter"

If we could find our shooting boots we'd have put 4 or 5 past Vale today. The ref was pretty awful the whole match to be honest. Think there's was a pen shout right at the end of the first half for us. Never a foul by shagnaussey on the midfielder, but a soft penalty, although Kamara did look like he may have got a touch first. We've been on the end of some shocking ref performances this season so about time we got a dodgy one. Some of finishing was so bad is was laughable at times.

His form seemed to have dipped ever since he was snubbed for a Wales call up while he was on fire, I think he was convinced he would get in.
He clearly needs to be playing in the Championship to achieve that and you guys will definitely achieve it before Wrexham.
As long as we get a decent fee im not bothered. We got him for nothing too.

Isn’t he out of contract in the summer? Or does he have 18m left?

Yes - there has, last season's FGR, so you don't even get a wooden spoon. Soz.
Honestly think that FGR team would edge out a dull encounter against this CUFC team.

Wasn’t a foul prior, and was a pen. Up the blues!
Having seen the replay, there wasn't really a foul on Chislett, but most refs would have given it. The penalty was quite clearly the ball won. It was one of many decisions the ref gave in favour of Portsmouth. Fuck me your players like the floor don't they?

Having said all that, we were pretty poor today and did that classic of watching a team knock it about. Thought Portsmouth looked OK up until they got to the box where I thought that dick Colby was shite. They would never have scored if they'd played all night, but for the penalty. We'd have got a point, in spite of being poor, but for the ref. I don't condone people going on the pitch but the ref brought it on himself. I hope he has a serious look in the mirror tonight.

Excellent performance by Bolton today beat a piss poor carlise easily can spend all the money you want you won't stay up with that squad of players. Also the only reason why Portsmouth are top of the league is because of the amount of penalties they get.
