Get in. Grimsby have shaded it but sounds like we’ve really livened up since Bowie came on.

BASTARD. Knew that was coming. Northampton have done nothing all game and then score a quality goal out of nowhere. Against the run of play but we've not really done enough.

All over Northampton and of course they're cramping up at every opportunity. Ref has given us nothing today. Will leave a bit of a bitter taste in the mouth this one. There needs to be 5 minutes for these Northampton cramps alone. Absolutely ridiculous shithousery.

Get the fuck in! Let's see how much cramp you've got in your legs now. Decent finish from JMD that.

Northampton #6 down with a "head injury" when we've got the ball on the edge of their box. Absolutely scandalous. This is shocking shithousery. Dirty fucking bastards.

Sounds dirty that mate. Unbelievable a player would go down with a head injury. Think the FA will do him retrospectively?

Did you watch it? There was no contact on his head.

We won despite being second best the entire game. I'll take that.

Much the better side second half, Northampton had one chance all game and took it which is typical but a very good finish.

We were then all over them which is pleasing after doing nothing when we went behind last week. Of course Northampton went down and rolled on the floor every 30 seconds even after we deservedly equalised and of course the ref bought every single one of them.

Would have been happy with a point before the game against the money bags club but disappointed we didn't win that.

Desperately need to find that goalscorer if we are going to have a decent season.

Well that was a pathetic second half showing from us. After a decent first half, to put in such an inept second half I’m pleased to get out with a point.

4 points isn’t a bad start, but all the signs are there that we’re going to be struggling at the bottom end again. Poor going forward, and some calamity moments at the back. Simpson is a great manager but he’s not a miracle worker and with the tools at his disposal he needs to be. A better team would have taken us to the cleaners today. Worrying signs.

We were better today but really toothless at times. A draw was about fair. The 3 centre halves were good, Menayese was outstanding, Euan Murray vastly improved from last week. We do lack quality and guile but overall not really unhappy with the result and display.

Embarrassing defending from set pieces, why are lower league footballers so thick when it comes to football IQ? 2-2 few minutes of injury time left player going nowhere and fouls their player to set up a good chance which they recycle and score from.

What a cracking second half after a boring first, thought we'd thrown away the win not once but twice. Six huge points to start the season against some of the favourites.

We certainly will be there.
Down to 10 men all 2nd half, switched to 4 at the back and we were superb. Should have had a couple easily. Salford completely dominated 1st half but are toothless.

Special mention for the ref. Lost count of the number of yellows he dished out - we may have had 6 or 7. Not a bad foul from either side all game. Absolute helmet.

Edit: we had 8 bookings from 14 fouls.

Very comfortable win today vs Harrogate. They didn't ever really trouble big Arthur in the goal. I'm really liking the look of this new look Crewe team. Big team, strong physical team with good threats and pace going forward. I thought we would struggle this season but carry on like this and we might just challenge.

Mansfield the better side overall and we were poor second half. 1-0 probably not a fair reflection of the game though. Rovers should have scored at least one and Mansfield although not missing any clear cut chances like we did; were wasteful in the final third.

Poor tactically from Mellon.

Way better second half after an absolutely abysmal first. Thought Darcy and Clayton looked handy and Sol Brynn was faultless in goal. Salford very very ordinary. Agree about the ref, dishing out yellows for very tame fouls.

It will be interesting how we do without Harry who looks massively frustrated and I wonder if we might look to move him on.

All credit to you for your cracking start and turning over 2 of the bookies favourites. We are only one of the favourites because of Mark Hughes. We are a million miles away from being a promotion chasing side

Great start for Pete Wild.
