Nobody seems to be talking about tonight's games (or tomorrow's for Aldershot v FGR), so hopefully people don't mind me starting this thread. No snazzy title, but the games are:
Altrincham v Halifax
Barrow v Chester
Cheltenham v Braintree
Grimsby v Gateshead
Guiseley v Macclesfield
Kidderminster v Boreham Wood
Torquay v Dover
Welling v Bromley
Wrexham v Tranmere

Aldershot v Forest Green

Obviously from our point of view, we go into the away game at Wrexham in good form and 3 points above our opponents, meaning anything other than an absolute mauling will leave us above them regardless of the result. However, it would be good to take a point and keep the run going into the home double bill of Eastleigh and Barrow. It won't be easy as I fully expect them to start like a rocket after losing to Chester and the ex-Wrexham contingent in our ranks will obviously add a bit of spice.

Away from our game, Grimsby v Gateshead and Cheltenham v Braintree, coupled with our game, means it could be a very good night for Forest Green or a very bad one, depending on results whilst they aren't playing.

I also hope Kidderminster can register a win, as nobody deserves to see their team so far behind everyone else.

We're not playing tonight, so I can sit back and relax with a nice Rochefort 10 and maybe some Cookies and Cream cheesecake, and watch you all tear your hair out again....lovely.

Wrexham-Tranmere obviously the pick of the bunch, Grimsby-Gateshead catches the eye as well....very rare in these sizeable matches that the away side goes in as the favourite, but there we are.

We have a friendly against Lincoln United tonight so some players can get minutes under their belts.

I'm assuming something is happening down at Woking, which is why we're not playing? Nothing going on up here to prevent a game taking place.

I don't think we're the favourite. I'm certainly not thinking we will definitely win. We can win, but to be honest I was actually hoping for a draw the other day (Chester/Wrexham), as getting beat by Chester just makes it less likely they will lose tonight too.

I don't really know what Wrexham's fans are thinking, as their forum is like Fort Knox to enter, but I'd imagine they'll fancy their chances too, especially at home. It could be a great game, but it's one neither team really wants to lose and so I'm thinking 0-0.

Both our Woking games arranged for Saturdays December 5th (away) and April 23rd (home)
Just the daft way the fixtures are done Luke I would think.

I certainly think you're favourites, no agenda here, but Wrexham's results against the top half so far haven't been spectacular.

I will be interested to see whether Grimsby can be arsed to turn up tonight or not as well.

We haven't had a home clean sheet yet. So 0-0. Another 1-1 on Saturday at Braintree and then Halfax get a 4 goal pasting and we start the draw sequence again. Throw in a banana skin defeat every couple of months and we'll be nicely settled around 8th in the table.

Our record against top half teams this season is pretty decent but it's got to come to an end at some point, hopefully not tonight. We've also got my away record to contend with, the last time I saw us win was against Notts County three seasons ago when we went top of League One and I've probably been to about 20 games since then. A repeat of 2005 would be nice but I'd take a draw.

1-1, Mangan with our goal.

I'd be more than happy with a draw for this one. I haven't been this nervous about (i.e. looking forward to!) a game as much as this for quite a while. If we win it'll be fantastic, if we draw I'll be happy... if we lose I'll be suicidal. This is what football is meant to be like!

Well we didn't turn up.for half the game against Eastleigh and more.or less the whole.game again Chester. I'm hoping for a reaction and an improved performance. If we play like we can then we should win, but we haven't been putting our chances away and the better teams have been capitalising on that. Tranmere certainly have the players to beat us.

No idea how tonight will.pan out! Before we played Eastleigh I was pretty confident, now not so much. Will.be nice to play Tranmere again, it's been a while. Sounds like it will be more or less a full house too, going on ticket sales.

We've definitely missed this kind of game the past 10 years! Nice having a game with a bit of bite to it after years of our closest rivals being Oldham or Bury.

Can't be arsed going to tonight's game, a NW police force that won't/can't/don't differentiate between ordinary football fans and hooligans has put me off from going.
Think Wrexham are favourites to win this one so would settle for a point.

It will be interesting to see who we start with upfront tonight all three strikers seem to have found their shooting boots of late however its no coincidence that they started scoring after dawson arrived from kiddy...... We gotta sign him full time

Given the weather here and the reports for Wrexham around kick-off, what are the chances of this game being postponed?

Hope not. Rumour is he had a bust up with our management staff, so with them now gone and us beginning to play a style of football that would suit Dawson, I'm desperate for him to return. My guess is It'll depend how much you're willing to offer for him, considering in the second half of the season, hanging on to him could mean the difference between survival and relegation for us.

Years and years of watching us fail at every opportunity has made us a pessimistic and cynical bunch, hence why every team we play are the favourites!

It's no surprise that our upturn in form has coincided with Dawson's arrival. If we're to believe Mark Palios there was plenty of money left to bring in more players during the last transfer window but we stuck with what we had. We're also waiting on a few hundred grand (at least) from Wigan so presumably the money'll be there to make the signing permanent in January (unless of course you hold us to ransom and demand far more than he's worth).

It could mean the difference between play-offs or not for Rovers too, so some tough negotiation ahead. Think we will make a reasonable offer, but he's your player, so if you don't want to sell, that's it.

Meanwhile the forecast for Wrexham, with heavy rain already fallen does raise doubts about tonight's game.

Well Dawson's contract expires come the end of the season, if the offer is half decent he'll be sold

Straight out of the Cosby show. That man is a clown.

Agreed, seem to remember him dishing out a lot of undeserved cards to us in the past, plus having a very poor understanding of what advantage means.

Hoping for a lot of draws tonight.
