I passed some of your lot the other day, looks like they were already on their way up to Blackburn.

I genuinely believe we have a chance of winning it this year. I would argue that our first XI is the strongest in the division, and will only become stronger once we've added a couple more faces (Andre Gray & Shaun Maloney seem likely) and Snodgrass and Diame return from injury.

Once the window shuts, I would expect the team to line up something like this:

GK McGregor
DL Robertson
DR Odubajo
DC Dawson
DC Davies
ML Clucas
MR Elmohamady
MC Huddlestone
MC Hayden
ST Akpom
ST Gray

Very strong team with the likes of Meyler, Aluko, Snodgrass, Diame, Taylor, Maguire, Bruce, etc. in reserve, and that's without including Jelavic and Hernandez who still remain unsold.

That's fine. It is, after all, a prediction and not a statement declaring our guaranteed success.

Be honest, you can't deny that's a hell of a strong squad on paper.

Hull should go close, yeah. I think this year there are a handful of teams who look really strong and then a large bunch of the rest, really. Wouldn't be surprised if we got a breakaway group like last year. Just hope we can tag onto the bottom and compete for a play-off place.

Pretty much bottom 6 in everyone's predictions:crazy:

We've got more chance of finishing in the top 3 than the bottom 3.

And that's despite losing today.

^ Said after we lost to Birmingham opening day, very confident with that statement now.

I had you 10th and that was before Nick Blackman turned into a God. Acceptable?
10 places too low, we'll be so good this season that the Prem will have to expand to 21 teams before the end of the season to promote us and give the rest of this division a chance.

But seriously, I hate looking at predictions this early really, a lot can happen in the next 36 games. Though I think it is early enough to laugh at the people who had us bottom 3.

Remember when Nottingham Forest had won the title by September last year?

Look at all you fools, thinking we would win the title. Looking like my other prediction of another 8th place finish is going to be correct.

Should never have started the '8th place' thread on TFF two seasons ago.

We could win the league, or we could finish 8th.

I don't think Middlesbrough are as strong as people make out. Downing was a laughing stock a couple of seasons ago, and now everyone makes out he's world class because he finally had a decent season. Bizarre.

Ipswich, Wolves, and Hull are our main competitors I reckon. Potentially Burnley too, but losing Shackell, Trippier, and Ings will have done some damage. There'll always be a surprise team of course. Could be Wednesday, could be fucking Rotherham as is the Championship.

lol at my Middlesbrough and Wolves predictions though.

Someone up there doesn't like me...

In my defence I said that in August before a ball had been kicked, I wasn't expecting our chairman to put the club for sale and sell all of our best players. I'm sure things would be very different otherwise.

Nope I had Brighton lower mid table, not surprised you guys are having an excellent season judging by your performance at our place.

Meh, got 5 of the top 6 right and 1 of the bottom 3. Quite a way out with us, but I foolishly presumed we'd actually sign some players at the end of August...

I'm happy enough with my predicted table, underrated Brighton (like everyone) and Burnley but got most about right.

There are plenty of wrong predictions in this thread, but this one is my favourite.

Now while I don't entirely disagree with 24th for us, man those drugs to get the Dingles in 1st
