Think we only didn't get money on two. One of them was the fuchsia box.

Played Tinpot, but God was that close in the end or what??

Looking forward to Wheel of Fortune, although it's looking like another game of complete luck, which we always seem to finish 2nd in for some reason(Except PYCR I think?? Jimmy?)

Hope the third game in this round requires some thinking and is more akin to Only Connect and Lucky Ladders.

Again, congrats Tinpotters, and Unlucky Dom. Feel sorry for you having to play that on your own. It's a shame one of the colours wasn't New Delhi. (A light shade of orange if I remember correctly)

:)

Feels weird being ahead. We're so used to a tremendous comeback.

Thought we played it about right. We got a bit of luck which we needed with the machines. If we were braver we'd have got a big score as we picked a lot of the big amounts but only took 8, 9, or 10 a go. That was enough when we banked on I think 8 of the 10 tries.

Enjoyed it though. Not much of a spectacle but the PM games have been good.

Ah, you seem to have done the opposite to us. We usually guessed in the 10k-12k range so went a bit riskier, but got a fair few low value machines. Of the top 5 scores (15k-20k range) we only got two of those in machines.

Just looking at ours, we got money from 6 machines but nothing from 4. And I think we only missed out by 1k on one of those, but the other three were very low. Think we did very well to only be 1k behind actually, considering the fact that it seems we had a bit less luck.

Ah, good stuff mate. Best of luck to anyone still taking part.

What's this game SUTTS is starting?

Played sheep on OFF, not a great fan of it.

It will have soon mate. SUTSS is running a game of Night Of The Werewolves pretty much straight after this finishes, and Sheep is played more or less consistently on here, with one season finishing and another one starting. If you wanna join in this season of Sheep to get a feel for how it works before the start of the next full season, then feel free to do so. The more the merrier.

Yeah but you haven't played the one here, love it!

Not sure what the game is as I haven't played it before a description will be on the thread "coming this spring" though.

All the forum games on here are brilliant mate.
After NOTW, I know Last Request has the next game of Survivor planned which is similar in some ways to this. 2 Tribes take part in head to head games and tasks and the losing teams players then have to anonymously vote out one of their tribe members. The tribes merge towards the end of the game, and then rather than it being a team game it turns into a every man for himself situation...

Oaf is also planning to run TFFWars2 (Renamed 1FF Wars) Where again you take part in teams which you decide on yourself, buying characters, activating special abilities, and fighting (By dice rolls, added to your Battle Rating and whatever abilities your character has) against other teams characters in all different locations. You win money for winning a fight, and there are bonus fights with massive financial rewards to help you improve your roster of characters. It's brilliant mate( Me and Harvs won the last one almost single handedly, with little input from other team mates, so I'm very biased about this game being amazing what with being the reigning champions!!) :)

I urge you to take part in all 3 of these upcoming forum games. Night of The Werewolves is a new one for me too, as I was only a lurker on TFF when it was being played regularly 3/4 years ago, but it looks and sounds great fun.

Just remembered that we weren't playing tonight and now my evening is ruined.

After laughing at this mere hours ago I completely forgot about it and have just got on here for 7 only to be disappointed. FML.

Quite a bit to read in this intro, so I'm putting it up a bit early. We begin at 7pm if I've received the number from all three teams. If not, then we commence as soon as I do.

Wheel of Fortune

Wheel-of-Fortune-Bankrupt_zpsb69dc238.jpg

Today we are playing Wheel of Fortune. A classic game show which ran from 1988-2001, hosted by Nicky Campbell, Bradley Walsh, John Leslie, and in its final year Paul Hendy. If you don’t know the rules, here’s how we play…

You will be presented with blank spaces that represent a word, name, or phrase.

A contestant will spin the wheel to determine a points value. Once the value has been determined, the contestant has a choice of either selecting a consonant (number of letters revealed multiplied by the value determined by the wheel), a vowel (no value – and at a cost of 250 points), or they can guess the word (value of spin). A decision must be made within 10 minutes of a spin. If we go over that, it is within my discretion to move on to another team.

When asking for a letter it must be in the format of ‘N for November’. Let’s keep that as it was in the real show.

If only vowels remain on the board, the current team in play will have to attempt to solve. If they get this incorrect, it will move on the team whose turn it is next.

At the end of each puzzle, your score will be recorded and reset. These will all be added up at the end of the game.

There will be three rounds (each with three puzzles), with the highest scoring team at the end progressing to the final. The finalist will then get the opportunity to win 5 points. If they do not give the correct answer, they will receive 4 points. The runner-up will collect 2 points.

In the final, the finalist will be presented with another puzzle. They will have the option of picking one of three cards, but will not be told the subject they correspond to. They must choose 5 consonants and 1 vowel. They then have 5 minutes to guess. They can make as many guesses as they want during this timeframe.

On the Wheel

What do the non-point value parts of the wheel mean, I hear you ask?

Lose A Turn – No guess for you this time, as we go straight to the next team.

Bankrupt – All the money you’ve built up on this puzzle is gone. You might want to hope to avoid this one.

Free Spin – Exactly what it says. You can use this free spin at any point during this puzzle. This must come straight after your turn. In other words get a letter wrong, and you can carry on.

? – Ignore it. We’re not using that.

Order of Play

The random generator has determined the order of play will be Jehovah’s Five, Team Tinpot, and League One & A Lemon. However, that does not decide who goes first.

Can I please ask all teams to now state a number between 1 and 100 in their PM. The closest to that number, will be going first. We then follow the order set out by the random generator.

For the following puzzles, you will be asked a question. First team to answer will be going first for that puzzle.

Gameplay

I expect this could go on for more than one evening. I personally want to watch Man Utd v Arsenal tomorrow, as I’m sure many of you will too. Therefore, we will either continue this or if things move quicker than I expect, we will move on the next game on Tuesday.
