Gonners.

24 points is surely not enough to stay up?

Well Patrick is out for a bit, not even looked up the length of Dennis' injury. Good for Jack Stretton to open his account today though, shame Edmondson didn't at least score a penalty, it was a piss poor attempt, the sort you shouldn't be taking in he final minute at three nil up when theres no pressure. Sho Silva should be back soon though

I’m not sure he’ll be back soon enough to keep you up though

We missed a penalty in the last minute to make it 4-0 today, so therefore we're shit and going to struggle to stay up.

They've surely got to get rid of Simpson whilst Hartley is still available?
Keith Hill is your man.

They never won 3-0, Football Heaven has already worked out ways to reverse the score.

We played well today as we also did last week. I say it as I see it and I don’t think we’d played anywhere near well enough prior to that despite picking up points, but fair play we’ve upped it the last two after the dire display against Crewe (think the manager may have given them a rocket after that). Hopefully we can continue these levels for the upcoming tough 3 games.

Still don’t think people should get carried away. Our fixtures get tougher and our squad is wafer thin, but points wise the start has given us a good foundation to build on. Hopefully we start getting some better luck with injuries as any more and we’ll be down to the youth team in some positions.

Having seen the highlights Stretton does proper steal that second goal off Jordan Gibson, who had a good game.

You're sounding a little bit too optimistic there HG, you want to be careful it doesn't come back and bite you and we're in a relegation dog fight at the end of the season.

I mean I love it when we win too, but fucking hell you've become so deluded to not mention anything here about us going down!

If we do go down then I'll blame it on you ignoring our inevitable fall to the non league.

I did? I'm sure you're right, but when? And are we including times last season when safety seemed assured and you could turn your attention to relegation battle 2023

I knew I’d have to refer back to this at some point.

I know you can't judge a team's performance from a kit but those kits have a whiff of relegation about them.

We did one time, the season we had the red sash but yeah. I don't necessarily mind a darker blue every now and again but without the white shorts and with very little red it doesn't look very Carlisle. Looks rather Southend.

I don't mind the away kit though

I want people to remember this. Shoddy mentioned the R word this season before me.

It’s not all doom and gloom yet for poor Carlisle, one more win between now and the end of the season will have them surpassing Scunthorpe Utd’s tally of 26 points from last season so there is still a slightly m chance they could yet pull off a great escape.

No team has ever stayed up on 24 points so we absolutely have to find another 16 or so between now and May and I just don't see where they're going to come from. We've only picked up points this season when we come up against a team who are worse than us and sooner or later we're gonna start coming up against teams that are better than us and then we're really gonna be screwed. It's a shame other fans can't see it.

(Btw I hope you Carlisle guys realise this thread is all in good humour, I hope it’s been taken that way anyway)

The seriousness of our current plight is not a laughing matter.

You always get three points off Mansfield when they visit Cumbria.

No doubt a few other teams will show sympathy and let you pick up a few more points before the end of the season.

As you know all the southern softie fans enjoy the long trip up north.

I’m not sure how we’re going to field a team on Saturday now without dipping into the youth team.

A dire situation.

If you have to use your youth team, you can cancel the game via Twitter without informing the opposition (patiently waits)

Don't worry, even our youth team is good enough to get us promoted.

So what do we do when all our youth team gets injured?
