Would've preferred Wednesday up too, but Hull were the better side today. In these playoffs, I don't think I've seen Nuhiu win a header.

Top performance from Westwood, can't believe he's only had 19 Premier League appearances. Kept Wednesday in it with several key saves.

Just goes to show numbers and atmosphere mean fuck all at football. A complete dominant display from start to finish from Hull. Now they know at last after all the piss taking we've received after all these playoff finals what it's like.

I can't believe that you're still down in League One. How different things could have been if you'd have won that shoot out. Surely next season you'll get back up

Can't see it personally very thin on numbers our squad but it's a weak league so who knows.

Been saying that every year...

As with todays result, perceived size of a club and attendances mean nothing. Didn't realise how much I wanted then to lose till I started pacing round feeling as though I was about to vomit. Cant see them fading back to 'average championship' next season but so glad they've finally got to experience some the heart ache we've had to out up with

Yawn, Hull. How boring. No doubt Norwich will go up again next year too.
Really? Not even a little bit? That surprises me. All I've been hearing is how Newcastle have already claimed the title and apparently, with their recent appointment, Derby are nailed on as well.

But being serious, think some are overestimating Norwich and maybe underestimating the teams already here. Wouldn't at all be surprised if we didn't even make the play-offs. Not saying we won't but as it stands, I'd say there is quite a bit of doubt. Until we appoint a new CEO, we have Delia and Ed Balls making decisions...

Surely the lowest crowd for a championship final in many of years. All down to hull but I'm sure they really care about that right now

I would gladly have been the only fan to turn up had we actually won

Exactly. There celebrations for 30 mins after beating Brighton could of always been proved to be premature. I thought they would win but they were outplayed from the off and never had a chance really, identical to our normal playoff displays

Did Wednesday have a meaningful shot on goal?

Quite appalled at the difference in attendance and noise made. Mind you, I was at the FA Cup semi between Hull and Sheffield United and it was the same deal: Hull failed to sell its allocation, Sheffield didn't.
On the pitch though, there was always going to be one winner. Hull were just a better football team with better players than Wednesday. Great goal to win à la Windass. Logical result really.

Cringey, Id be embarrassed if that was the City end.

No just shows how fucked football is that traditional teams like Wednesday cant get back to the top because teams like Hull have parachute payments.

Is like David v Goliath arse backwards.

Such a brilliant photo that made a great difference didn't it 15k less hull fans and no where near as much noise. If there was any on here they'd be pissing there selves laughing. They still took nearly 10k more than there average who wants pretend plastic fans there anyway

Bullshit, sell outs are irrelevant but celebrating promotion crazily with randomers you've never met is a memory many people have. Today would've definitely been better for Hull with a full house.

Would I rather win with a full house or on my own? Of course I would. I never said I wouldn't...reread what I put.

Would I rather win on my own than lose 3 times with lots of fans there? Of course I would. Losing with the highest attendance means naff all.

Good article that, supported by the reaction on here. No one is talking about the result just the attendance.
Yeah but clubs like Plymouth dont have a trouble with 35k so I should have thought it was a Hull problem rather than a football one.

Sheff Utd, Preston and Hudders fans on here a little biased because they dont sell out play off finals.

What can they say? Wednesday are a bigger club. It's not that surprising.
